Watching this movie alone in the privacy of my own home really kind of added a new dimension to this movie. This is a really dark and depressing story about the power of art and what art can do to our minds. Think of Danny McBride's character whose life is defined by Four Leaf's book. When it comes to pass that the book was a lie, his mind has been crushed.
When I saw Tom Cruise dancing, it was clear that this was also an expression of deep-seated pain. Now his Golden Globe nomination makes sense. The dancing of his character, a tightwad *beep* movie executive (A job that leads to death and destruction and disregard for human life all over the world), is an expression of his satisfaction with his morally corrupt life. I could easily see Cheney dancing around to GET BACK (A song of corrupt boasting of one's superiority and an elitist comedown to a potential friend: "GET BACK, *beep* Y'ALL DON'T KNOW ME LIKE THAT!") in the White House. The dancing was one of the most chilling moments in one of the most misunderstood films of the year.

Craig- is $8.50 supposed to be cheap? I only pay $5.00 :) (one nice thing about small towns)
David walked into the valley
With a stone clutched in his hand
He was only a boy
But he knew someone must take a stand
There will always be a valley
Always mountains one must scale
There will always be perilous waters
Which someone must sail

Is anyone else irrationally fond of Cruel, or is this my odd side (that loves 'The Da Vinci Code', pigeons, and eating ice cream on the coldest day of the year) coming to the fore again?
