Mmm, I would definitely like that hug right now. I'm applying to 12 schools and I just want this whole process to end so I can focus on the good aspects of being a senior and just KNOW where I'm going. The uncertainty is killing me. But, on the bright side!:
A. All of my schools are on the common app.
B. I just got my SAT II scores today and not only did I do so much better than I expected but I'm FINALLY DONE WITH SATs FOREVER. I wish I could say the same with all College Board tests, but I still have three APs this May...
Well, it'll all be over soon...

"ps, ILoveMyDictionary - GO EMERSON! :) (that's where I go)"
I visited there on Saturday. Everyone who goes seems to love it. I have a friends who's there and she showed me her dorm and I was bombarded by all her floormates saying "You haaaavvve to come to Emerson. It's amazing"

I'll skip the hug in favor of a dry martini.
God I hate this process...

Ok I'm new to this website and this thread, but immersed in the app process. Lately I've been questioning whether I want to focus on musical or straight theatre. I have participated in both at my high school, and I really do love musical theatre, but I am not much of a dancer nor have I ever taken voice lessons, so I don't think I'd be up to par for a college-level BFA program. I also don't want to limit my options too much so I thought a BA program would give me time to take classes in different areas as well. Now I'm not really sure what I should do and I have a Unified Audition scheduled for February! So yes, i would like a hug too. Any insight/advice?

If you're def auditioning, maybe find a coach or teacher to work with for the time being?? Some private instruction would def help.
Guys. I'm waiting for the letter from the school I want to go to. I'm FREAKING out.

I feel like transferring is more of a pain than filling out apps. in high school. As much as I complained about how useless our h.s. counsellors were, I now appreciate that they at least sent out all my paperwork for me; it's such a pain to do it yourself. Also, getting recommendations from professors that have only known you for one semester or less sucks compared to getting them from teachers that have known you for years.
My tuition is making me think about transferring again (the aid I was supposed to get fell through because of a lack of funds), but it's such a tiring process.
On another note, good luck to everyone. And don't apply to just 4 schools like I did my senior year lol. And do your research and focus on what you need and want in a school instead of listening to what other people tell you to do (other things I didn't do.)

I'm waiting for the confirmations letter and getting more and more nervous everyday.
What if my applications got lost in the mail?
The auditions will be in January, it will be my first time. My private coach is telling me that she'd be really surprise I don't get in, so that's stressing me even more.
Need a hug.

Xaya, I don't want to make you more nervous, but I was told that by every teacher I've ever had, and I only got into 1 out of the 7 conservatories I applied to (1 of which didn't even let me past pre-screening). So, prepare to apply to other schools in case this one doesn't work out, and make sure to have at least one safety/non-audition school.

I'm trying every school I can.
(3 schools actually, I'm not in the state so it's very different. There's also less applications, between 200 and 400 per schools)
My plan B is animation 3D (which has a drawing test to get accepted but... without sounding too sure of myself, if I can't pass it there's a big problem)
And if plan B fails, I'll just work for another year. I don't want to study something I don't really care about just so I can go to school.
