Priest - I am friends with one of his cousins, and it's been interesting to get the whole 'family' perspective on the past few years. Remember, they went to HIM to help save them financially, which he did - but was so successful that it became something far more than they could have imagined. Couple that with the fact that he's a raving narcissistic Asshole, and you end up where it is today. But know that there are still MANY people who are involved with the name who hold Walt's dreams very close to their hearts.

I've never been west of Lincoln, Nebraska, and i haven't been to Floeida sinca I was a little kid - on the pre-Disney World era.
However, I was at opening day of the 1964 New York World's Fair and I got to be one of the first kids to ride the "It's a Small World" ride (they had it at the NY World's Fair before Disneylamd), and - get this - I GOT TO MEET WALT DISNEY! I was only 3 years old at the time, but I remember it well!

Jon - you lived one of my dreams
Well I know like 2 people that HAVE been to a Disney theme park. A friend went to Disney World and Land whilst in the US, and my sister went to Tokyo Disney when she lived in Japan.
I've never had the privilege of going to any Disney theme park and I've lived in California for 13 years now. I've been to Magic Mountain and even Knott's but never Disneyland.

can'tthink - for shame! Get thee hence immediately
I've only been to WDW Florida, and I've been there three times. I'd go anytime someone asked me. It's an experience, it really is. It's impossible to go there and NOT have a good time unless you intentionally try not to.

Sadly, I have never been.
But that has a lot to do with my north-of-the-border location and my mother's intense fear of flying.
I'm dating a Disney animator- I'm sure I'll end up there pretty soon.
*fingers crossed*
I've gone to WDW five times in the last four years. Four of those times it was for the Gay Weekend. Some of the greatest times I've ever known in my life and I highly recommend.
When they say the place is magic it really is. I went for the first time at 13 and the last time at 17. You can't help but smile and have a good time. I want to take my honeymoon there...now to find a wife who would agree to that....

Carl - LA is just a short drive from Disneyland
For twenty years I had the pleasure of being in Anaheim or Orlando for the Fourth of July (national conference that alternated cities each year). I can never get enough Disney! And, then of course there are the other times I went for different reasons (Epcot and Gay Days)

Beacon - I really do think you'ld love it!
I go to Disneyland at least once a year.. Our Touring Theatre group performs there.
My dream is to go to DisneyLand one day. I've been to the Magic Kindom, EPCOT, MGM & Animal Planet well over 50 times collectively. I lived close to them my entire life until 2003 and I really miss it!

DG I must go one of these decades.
Dare I confess that I grew up in upstate NY (western end) and then came back to NYS after living in Utah and northern California.
Now I've lived in Buffalo for 15+...
and I have never ever ever been to NYC...
