I thought it was pretty common knowledge, too; apparently, though, there are people who just think of Sondheim as "the greatest STRAIGHT musical theatre composer, EVER."

I'm pretty sure I knew WSS was the gayest show in history before I even knew the meaning of the word "gay", so that has to be true.

Countless recordings by the greats of the cabaret scene, including Nancy Lamott, Laurie Beechman (BTW still mourning their passing), Karen Akers, Linda Eder, Sam Harris, all the gang at Don't Tell Mama, and our own BWW posters.

Thanks, Stephen, for the quiet time alone at 4AM when your music comforts me. Thanks also for the not-so-quiet time at 4AM when your music is there with that special person.
