Who loves The Bob Newhart Show?

Hey there,

Just bought the Bob Newhart show on DVD. What a great show and a real insight into life in the 70's. I see a lot of the problems that show up in Company alluded to in this show.

Im hooked. Anyone know when Newhart will show up on DVD?

In my opinion, the greatest moment in TV history was the end of his 2nd series, when he got hit on the head by a golf ball and woke up in bed with Suzanne Pleshette.

What a great show! I LOVED Marcia Wallace and his parade of unusual patients! I remember Mr Carlton coming to tell Bob that he was conquering his agoraphobia.

Bob: Really? "I never knew you had a fear of open places."
Mr. Carlton: "Huh? I thought it was a fear of agricultural products. Well, anyway, I am no longer afraid of Wheat."

Classic show that still is very funny and witty. Glad some of you younger posters get to experience this wonderful show. I loved Suzanne Pleshette. I'm so sad that she has so many health problems now and that she lost her husband last year. I loved her in the movie called Rome Adventure. It had Chad Everett and Angie Dickinson in it (a stunning Angie) Troy Donahue played her boyfriend- she married him in real life a couple of years later. I digress, but I seem to remember Bob and Mary Tyler Moore being on the same night. THAT was great television. Thanks for the trip down Memory Lane. P.S. I laughed so hard on the last episode on the Newhart Show when Emily ended up in bed with him! The best surprise EVER! mom
