But of course.
And DG, my nickname was "Gollum, the Evil One" but I think at the time they were referencing a line in a Led Zep song, and not Tolkien.
My mother and all of her Jewish friend play Mah Jong liotte. They are nuts for it.
Wine and games!
And, that's just precious!
Trivial Pursuit could be lots more fun, after a few glasses of wine
Hell, monopoly is fun after a couple glasses of wine.
But, this is one crowd I would never play the game "outburst" with. I don't think the game would ever end.
(My friends and I actually have game night every couple of months, with ample amounts of wine and cheese).
It's a good tradition!
And varying the games is fun.
Taboo is a fun game. Particularly after a few
Lots of fun!
So is scattagories. At least before the third or fouth glass.
We can no longer play Trivial Pursuit with our old deck. My one friend was home sick for a few days and decided to memorize all of the cards! What a cheat!
I suppose that Twister, and any variant, is out...
I love Scattergories!
And, that's totally cheating. You need one of the new versions!
I also haul out the old favorites like Clue and Yahtzee.
Does the spinner spin the other way Down Under, Your Oz-ness?
Twister isn't out...
I have it.
My mom and sister sometimes play scrabble, but I never really got into that game. I am sure my vocabulary and spelling would be much better had I.
Pictionary is another favorite, though I pretty much suck at that game. My legal mind sits there and analyzes while everyone else is spitting out answers.
I'll have to check that spinner direction for you, Cookie.
Is it clockwise or anti up there?
It's clockwise up here!
LOL.
I like Pictionary, but don't play it that often.
It doens't lend itself to Game night, but I love chess...
Check.
Sounds like?
My new favorite is Apples to Apples, which would be great with this crowd.
With my group of friends, Charades gets kind of crazy!
Bunch of hams...
I actually played backgammon for half penny a point for hours at a time when I used to work at the movie theater.
I also loved playing chess growing up!
Charades can get to be a bit much once three or four drinks are in ya!
providing you can still coordinate your hands and count!
Well, it does sound fun. Who has a big apartment where we can do this?
I think the only one of these games I have ever heard of is Charades.
I'm a little behind.
