Well, if you want to come to Socal, I will put both leafs in my dining room table and we can go wild!
SoCal is a little too far right now. I will stop there on my way back from hawaii in august.
Well, maybe I can arrange something for your fly by!
What is Apples to Apples, liotte?
Sure, but make sure it includes Disneyland!
Apples to Apples is a card game in which the dealer pulls out a card with a descriptive word (like pretty, smart, politcally correct, evil, etc), and everyone else has 6 cards in their hands with everything you can think of from places, people, things, tv shows, movies, sports teams, holidays, objects, anything really and you can make your own cards as well). Everyone puts one card in for the dealer which they think best describes the dealer's card, and the dealer has to pick which one is best. But you are playing to what the dealer thinks is the best answer, and things do not have to be taken at face value. It's awesome.
oh, that sounds very cool.
I'll have to go look for it.
It is a great game. Our family brought it to costa rica in dec, and all 10 of us played.
My sister, who is becoming a mini-version of me with the broadway love, pulled out the adjective wicked. Meaning evil, bad. However, I had the word Broadway in my hand, so I won. :)
I love it!
Does it work best if you really know the people you're playing with?
It works great if you know the people well that you are playing with, as you are trying to get the card they are most likely to pick.
Another example- My dad picked a card that said Emotional. He was given cards that said football (which he loves), fishing (which he loves), AIDS (which his brother died from many years ago), and a couple irrelevant ones. So you play to what you think he will pick as the most emotional.
I love "Apples To Apples"
I'm going to have to get it tomorrow! Sounds wonderful.
It's a lot of fun. Especially when drinking is involved.
Also- the above about my dad's words was true, though just an example. Please note that not everyone in my family has an illness!

oh liotte!
I'm glad they all aren't. Your family has had more than it's share of stuff lately...
*hug*
Thanks Addy.
We'll make it!
Yes, you will.
And, let's plan a game night!
Sounds good to me. DG and Beacs will both be here in April...
*ears perk up*
Game night?
Drinking games are the way to go, my friend.
You are up late...
Yeah, drinking games are fun. Haven't played one in a while...
I don't think I've ever played a drinking game. One day I will, I'm sure.
I'm sure there will be drinking games that could be played on Oscar night.
How many times the word "gay" "trans" "controversial" is mentioned?
If you take a drink each time one of those words is mentioned, you won't make it past the red carpet pre-show...
That is SO true.
I see that insomnia rules again tonight.
