Looking forward to chillin' at my apt for a change.

I have guests in town, tickets for Most Happy Fella tonight, Bee on Sunday I think, dinner tomorrow, lots of stuff going on.

Hey, Fido - dare I ask what got some smokers in the dog-house?
confused me at first, DG... the message jumped threads..
you probably know we have this new smoking restriction here, more restrictive than Cali's.
In addition to that, any private place can be even more restrictive (like in the old days, when there was no ban, and some bar would go "smoke free")
The building I'm in used to allow smoking next to big fans in the lowest level of my work's parking garage but since that law passed, they call that "in the building" (stupid, gees, let them smoke next to the huge loud air turbines).. and instead allow smoking in a designatred marked area away from the front of my building (three buildings in a group) BECAUSE there is a medical clinic on the bottom level of my floor catering to lung issues.
The building mgmt is very sensitive to having smokers, even if at 25', right where lung ailment patients are walking by, some even with oxy tanks... and have repeatedly asked that the smokers go to the designated (they're both outside). It turns out it is my COWORKERS, moving exacytly 25' and stopping to smoke, prompting angry emails from building management... argh.
Damn smokers!

Fido - I see - that does seem . . . odd - and pretty frustrating!
The reason I asked in a different thread was because I thought you meant the 'smokers' on the board - LOL

There is an enormous protest here against immigration "reform". Lots of sirens and helicoptors.
brdlwyr,
Will you be having Liza sign your dvd? If you do.. tell me how big the crowd is so I know what to expect here in LA.
