Morning, DAME. Did you see the Petula interview linked at the top of the page? I didn't see, did you enjoy the show?
I did enjoy the show. Howver I was dissapointted to read in the interview that it is the same show she has been doing for years. ( I hate Lazy performers and Lazy acts.)

I think the problem with some performers is, they are known for a narrow slice of pop culture, and that's what people who go to see them expect to see. I would venture a guess that there are many who go to her show that can only identify "Downtown" - and that's all they want to see.
That's why people who have many years of many hits are so invigorating - quite a catalogue to pick from (Elton comes to mind.)
I'm glad you enjoyed the show, though. At least now you know you won't have to go see her again
DAME, aren't you proud of me? I saw 2 new shows this week!!
Liotte;
What did you see?
DG; I agree with you. My biggest problem is I always feel like I have been lied to when all the patter in the show that seems fresh and in the moment turns out to be the same shtick one has been doing for years.
I saw Bernarda Alba and Most Happy Fella.
I love Happy Fella. How where the two shows?

How where? They were at Lincoln Center.
Bernarda scared the crap out of me but I loved my Nikki (Adela).
Happy Fella I was pleasantly surprised, I enjoyed it.
brdlwyr,
Even if you can't go to Liza I expect you to give me a report on how big the crowd is so I know how early I should plan on going here in LA.
Liotte,
I could bitch slap you. thats Bea Arthur from her MAUDE days. Don't even tell me you have never heard of Bea Arthur. Don't even try it.
Yes. Bea Arthur had a huge hit sitcom in the 70's called "Maude". It was groundbreaking.
Seeing as I was only alive for 1979, I don't know that show.
Even I know who she is. Proud?

I heard her Bossom Buddies as Vera yesterday, so funny.
It is gorgeous here today! The kids are biking, playing baseball, but now more volleyball and basketball games.
Quick weekend visit - stopped at the office to pick up some needed stuff. I hope to have internet access at home by next week. Yay!
