brd - if they go for a Broadway PIPPIN revival, they should really use Michael Arden - he was really good in the Reprise version here. From that, apparently some talks were started . . .

I saw a clip and he sounded wonderful. Such a great score, the story is a little stupid, but I love it.

I think that's why Michael was so good - he actually made you believe in the journey.
I've only seen the one tv version of it, so I'm looking forward to it.

Dame, I will see you there! Be there or be Sally Field Squared!
Greeting from Disney!
Ohmigoodness -- yesterday was a LONG day of MGM and Magic Kingdom...and yes, I made out (briefly) on a "Small World" with LG. It was excellent.
Today, woke up early and went to the Animal Kingdom and Epcot, which was fantastic. I wore my Minnie Ears.
Back in the room, sunburned and beat.

Stephanie D'Abruzzo, Colin Hanlon are probably the only names you might know.
Do you think mom would like it?
I think so, it's a cute romantic love story, great music, great voices, good times. It's off-broadway, somewhere in the village on Bleecker.
Who wrote the score?
Wait.... are we going to be banned from the off-topic board for being on-topic?......
Music by Joshua Salzman, book and lyrics by Ryan Cunningham.

RC - please see my joke on Mom's Guess thread!
When I was a teenager, Pippin was my favorite show on Broadway. I saw it with EVERY cast!
Last year, Michael Arden sang "Corner of the Sky" with Stephen Schwartz accompanying him at this little "lecture" type thing at the Kennedy Cneter, and I honestly thought it was the best interpretation of the song I had ever heard. He would be PERFECT! I agree.
A geek just has to love a musical with a number titled 'The Actuary Song' in it!
I've never seen Pippin and am not familiar with most of the music. I do like the song Time to Start Living (or No Time at All, don't know what the official title is).
Liotte, I think Pippin was to me what Bee is to you.
Hi, RC! Are you still on the left coast???

MP, in my past life I was Pippin three times. I loved every moment of the role!
Brd, you're a sick fella...
I've never seen Pippin produced either. Everybody was singing the songs in revues when I was in school, though. As mom would say, it's sooooo Schwartz.
Wow Miss P, must be good then since we are so alike!
