The word is that Stephen Schwartz is actually significantly rewriting the show, changing the orchestrations (make it more modern) and changing the ending... they're making the show A LOT more flashy. Apparently this is the pre- pre-Broadway tryout of the revival. And there are some pretty well-known names in it.

The show hasn't opened yet... I should have said 'ran into my friend that has been cast in Pippin..."
It does sound exciting. He threw several names at me last night, but me and my memory suck. Most of the principals are cast out of NYC.

Apparently Mr. Schwartz is going to be in town during most of the rehearsal process and all of the run, doing rewrites to the show. He said that they're approaching it almost as a workshop.

Yay, I was thanked!!!
Big issues at Jersey Boys trying to get rush tickets for my mom this morning. No rush, but she got partial view for full price which sucks, but at least she will see it. Maybe Rent lotto tonight.
