Shira - that's just . . . oh, nevermind.
brd - Shelties. They're very cute and well behaved - but they have TWO fur coats! One matted undercoat, and then a full coat of long hair over that - both of which go EVERYWHERE!

Posted: 10/20/05 at 5:27pmWe had a sheltie when I was in high school. It peed on the carpet too often and my mother got rid of it.

Posted: 10/20/05 at 5:37pmShelties are lovely dogs. We usually had Airedales.

The joys of a wire-haired terrier: they hardly shed.
Granted, they do get the 'doggy' smell quicker than other dogs, but it's not foul.

The main problem is they love to swim...
They will get out of the river and come as close to you as possible...then they shake.

Posted: 10/20/05 at 5:56pmYeah... Walter will swim, then come and do a figure 8 between my feet, and rest on my leg. I never, ever, wear clean jeans when we go to the park swimming.

Our rat terrier does shed - but very short hairs.
Any of your dogs roll in poop? He has performed this trick twice in the last week.

Posted: 10/20/05 at 6:01pmNo, thank goodness. Though if there's a mud patch somewhere, he'll find it and lay in it. Then look at you with that face, like asking "What?"

Clarification - Although I chenged diapers for years, I cannot get used to the dog's disgusting habit which requires me to clean the poop off his body. Sorry about that. Words are really all I get paid for as a lawywer, I should be more careful.
My mother in law is here - great woman and my favorite drinking buddy!

Posted: 10/20/05 at 7:50pmHaving trouble with the phone company. Our bill is over $100.00 more than usual. They say we had requested a upgrade in our service which we never did. I am on hold.
