You said Judy's 'spit fire mood' reminded you of me yesterday - and I have no problem with that correlation. I identify with her attitude of 'I'm fed up with idiots!'

DG;
Let me know if you ever want to go to a taping. She is going on hiatus for 3 weks next week. But then back in full force. Her contract has been renewed for a very long time.

YeeHaw! I've actually been thinking about forcing this 'getting together' issue. I think I'm just going to have to make a special trip - one of my specialties - and go from there.
Did you decide to go to PS for the weekend?

Don't know if you're a fan of Stokes or not, but he's at Citrus Saturday night for VERY reasonable ticket prices - and I think there's plenty available.

I love Stokes. But we have seen him twice in the last year or so. Once at a benefit for the actors fund and once in a private event. Gorgeous man. Beautiful voice. And so freaking talented.

The only times I've seen him were for the Actor's Fund thing for Coleman - and he didn't sing, except in a group at the end. Then I went to the Gershwin show at the Holywood Bowl this summer when he, Audra and Wayne Brady did highlights from Porgy and Bess - which only made me want to see a full revival! He really seems so genuine - and you're right, 'gorgeous' is a word that comes to mind!

I went to that Coleman thing too! Wasn't it freaky how he died so quick after that? That evening.. my lover and I took the elevator from the balcony ( where we were seated) to the exit on the main floor. We rode down with Tyne Daly, The woman from "Facts Of Life", Chita Rivera, and the hot guy from Dukes of Hazard. It was so weird. One of the weirdest elevator rides of my life because it was so surreal.

I know we bandy about lots of thoughts and ideas in this forum, but I REALLY want to know why someone - anyone - isn't putting together a revival of Porgy and Bess with he and Audra. Even though bwaysinger and I disagree somewhat on this (
), more perfect casting they couldn't hope for!

They should at leat start with maybe a concert version. I heard his Sweeny Todd was fantastic. I wish I could have seen that.

DAME - maybe the Coleman thing is where we were 'two ships passing in the night'!
Didn't you love Lucie Arnaz at that thing? We went and saw her at the Cinegrill afterwards just because of that appearance.

I did think she was terrific. My friend Joy Claussen also performed that night.. so she had invited us. Michele Lee did not impress me. I thought she was flat.

My favorite was Lilias White. I had never seen her, and I fell in love.

She blew me away. I saw her do that show "The Life". I love the way she works that number.

She was the only one I made a point of talking to afterwards - and she was great!

I am sure that I have said this before, but I would love to see Audra in P&B.

Oh, brd, so would I! As I said, the 'highlights' they did only made me want it all the more. She (and he, in my opinion) are made for these roles!

I have also heard the Patti may come to Ravinia for Gypsy - I would love that.

So would she! Apparently it's the only way she could get around Mr. Laurents not wanting her to do the role. I would imagine she'd be great. Frightening, but great!
I still want to see Lorna Luft do it.

I do not know her. I think Dame would be a great Mama Rose!

Evening all! Back from SWIWS. I'll let Shira review it for you all.
My little sister just asked me what to wear to a foam party. She is a freshman at UCLA, and I can't believe how grown up she is!
