Posted: 11/16/05 at 10:27pmbrd, I told you, you are fighting a losing battle. Mom is the same way. If there's any way she can have all her kids in her house, even though it means being somewhat tight, she won't have it any other way. And if we press the issue... talk about power-pouting.

DD, you can check out this site for discounts to shows. I don't think there are any current ones for Sweeney, though.

Posted: 11/16/05 at 10:37pmDD - you are correct! Did you get your Sweeney ticket?
re: Who needs a MOJITO time? (The sequel)#8212
Posted: 11/16/05 at 10:37pmNo prob. I only pay full price when there's no chance of a discount around, like Spamalot. Not being in the city, Rush isn't much of an option for me.

re: Who needs a MOJITO time? (The sequel)#8215
Posted: 11/16/05 at 10:42pmI figured I'll pay full price for Sweeney, and see what else I can see at a discount. I like plans... the uncertainty of rush is lost with me.

Posted: 11/16/05 at 10:45pmI'm with you on the rush thing, DD - planning the NYC trip the way I do, I'm not willing to leave anything open to chance. Obviously, living there would make it a whole different scenario.

Posted: 11/16/05 at 10:46pmSet plans? For a broadway show? What's that like??
re: Who needs a MOJITO time? (The sequel)#8221
Posted: 11/16/05 at 10:46pmI'd like set plans...but being a student in NYC, I rush without issue. The lotteries suck for me, but I'm usually able to get tickets for what I want without TOO much issue.

If I had the chance to see it whenever, then it's ok. Considering I haven't been to NYC in over 10 years, not running the chance. I just need to get my act together and buy the tickets.
I will be rushing a couple of shows in town this weekend, now that I know which ones offer rush to those of us over 25.
