DD - we may have to fly to NYC and stage an intervention. Or at least arrange a live video feed.

We’re going to spend Thanksgiving week in Mendocino again with our friends. BUT, Robert’s birthday is actually that Monday, so we’re going to take a couple of days for a ‘private getaway’. I found this gay B&B in a registered historic Victorian town, and have reserved a private cottage – with a hot tub – for that time.
THEN, we’re going to spend the Christmas/New Years break in San Diego, and I rented an apartment in an all-male clothing optional facility on the beach for the week!

*doing a 180*
My nephew changed the date of his wedding to Thanksgiving weekend so I could attend. How's that for a guilt trip? So I guess I'll be going to Costa Rica for Thanksgiving. My mom is so happy. My bank account is cringing.

DD - I bet you have a wonderful time. And it's ONLY money

DG, that sounds SPECTACULAR!
DD -- Guilt! But that's awesome -- and like DG said, it's ONLY money...says the girl who's been...oh, nevermind.
Gee, my winter vacation. Washington DC debutante ball. Whee?
Back to me!

I find it interesting that we both posted our Thanksgiving plans at almost the same time...
Yeah. It's only money. Remember my trip to LA was based on the fact that I wasn't going home to the wedding? And I am also going to DC for Xmas... and I'm seeing Wicked that weekend so there's no way I'm passing on that trip. Oh yeah, and seeing my sister.

DG, I don't actually have time in DC. I fly in, work, fly out. Maybe I'll get the morning to sleep in.
DD -- my winter vacation...haha, who knows. I'll probably shoot 3-4 deb balls in a two week period.
And then maybe go to Israel. Who knows?

I'm going to DC to spend it with my sister and niece. Oh yeah, and brother-in-law. My sister bought us tix to Wicked on the 24th.
On yet another subject change, on Sunday for the Awards Ceremony for the softball tournament I was in we went to this bar called R Place. And who is a bartender there... none other than Danny, the gay kid from "The Real World-New Orleans".

I was just teasing. I mean, he's cute and all. But NO WAY! Besides, I don't think he's 18 yet...
I should hit the sack. It's almost 2:30. Night!

Back in LA. Will write about all of my adventures in Chicago tomorrow. And brdlwyr, I did not need the wheel to be high. Didn't do pot bellys as planned and opted for Ann Sathers. A decision I regreteed while on the Wheel. The Franklin Lloyd House and studio tour was interesting but a bit long. I love your city. And your walking tour was splendid.

Glad you had a good time though!

Yeah, another long day at work, I'll be there til 10 tonight and since tomorrow is the first day of school and I have to be there at 7am, I'm just sleeping over in their guest apartment.
Sorry you were woken up so early! See, that's why I don't want my own kids! I know that I can get through the rest of this week at 7am because next week doesn't start til 2pm :)
