I demand a Mojito after being sucked into the "what's wrong with the youth of today?" thread. All this bullsh!t about a generation of entitlement.
Where the HELL is my drink?
(yes, this was intended as sarcasm!)

Posted: 9/12/05 at 7:43pmVery warm for September and still no rain. I have complained all Summer, but now it is just bizarre. It has been like 20 days with not a drop.

Hey guys! I'm dry right now...
But I am in the midst of a lovely evening after Hebrew School (Liotte, I'll give you the details later), and am now dogsitting for the chihuaha, Mia, for whom I dogsit in LA. Her mother is here with the dog.
So i just walked a Chihuaha down Madison Avenue.

Hey brdwlyr,
I meant to ask you... How are property values holding up in the city? There seems to be such a enormous amount of new condos opening up.

Right now - the values are at their highest. Not NY or SF prices, but the values have risen greatly in the last ten years. The boom has gone west - neighborhoods such as Albany Park and Logan Square are hot because Lincoln Park and Lakeview prices are too much for most.
The downtown condo boom just shocks me. I have worked in the Loop for 15 years and there was a time that you could park on a Saturday morning for free. Not now because of all of the local residents.

re: Who needs a MOJITO time? (The sequel)#1697
Posted: 9/12/05 at 8:13pmWell.. we saso many new buildings going up around the lake when we took the architectualtour that I was wondering if the market would over saturate. And right near Halstead we saw signs for condos as low as 200's.

It's the same everywhere. Seattle is SO unaffordable anymore, it's ridiculous.
Long long day and now off to rehearsal. I need major mojitos, but not until after I'm done.
brd, my friend loved loved loved Chicago. Except for the heat. He's stuck in MSP now, delays in Chi and MSP with Northwest.
hep... did you get the cherry of my ice cream? I saw you...
