Dame,
The man in my icon would be none other than Tony Lucca. I began a thread about him here on the OT board a few weeks ago. You can search and find it. I wouldn't mind seeing it resurected.

I did indeed see Addy this weekend... She is ALWAYS a delight...
ET: Glad to hear that closing weekend was good, but at the same time, wishing that it could have been pushed back since the group had finally found its stride with the piece...
brdlwyr: Amazing looking menu. Glad to hear that the pinot went over well with all, and with the menu itself...

Posted: 3/13/05 at 10:28pmOne tidbit that I wanted to share about our closing that made it extra special (but forgot the last time) was that the guy playing Greg has done ACL like 5 times, but he's always been one of the cut dancers at the end (he's been Al and Don before). SO... the guy playing Zach asked me if it was ok for him to cut me instead and let him "make it". The director was in on it, and a couple of the other guys, but no one else. The look on his face when Zach called my name was awesome (we saw the video at the cast party), and Sheila's face was just like "what the...?". Once we left the stage and the picked dancers were standing there, he had tears streaming down his face. It was so incredibly awesome.

Here's the Song list
NYC -- sang as a ballad and love song to our great city
It Might As Well Be Spring -- sublime
Everybody Says Don't -- first HUGE ovation of the night -- perfect diction
Native New Yorker -- a tribute to the square states where disco never went out
Superstar (Karen Carpenter) -- first time I cried this evening
Drive a Person Crazy -- in a bluesy/sultry arrangement -- great number
Maybe This Time -- she could not finish the song -- the audience applause drowned her out
Beauty and the Beast -- cry number 2
I Dreamed a Dream -- the night is now an official sob fest
Losing My Mind -- OK she forgot a lyric or two -- but who cares -- it's Andrea F**ing McArdle singing Sondheim
Not sure of the title of the next song -- composed by Ben Toth (her music director) FUN FUN song about the "other girlfriend"
calling --
Knowing When to Leave -- (from Promises/Promises) -- blew it out of the park
Easy to Be Hard -- beautiful
Tomorrow -- what can I say
Over the Rainbow -- sublime

I Dreamed A Dream pretty much did me in.
It was an amazing song list! And she was as lovely and entertaining as ever.
She gave a shout out to Rob and BWW for their support of the concert (the proceeds of which went to BC/EFA)

Posted: 3/14/05 at 12:15amHer "banter" both scripted and unscripted was terrific -- a real connection with the audience -- she was truely enjoying herself and it showed with every note & smile! SHe deserved every ovation and more!

Good morning from the sunny and still warm and dry PacNW...
Addy & K: that sounds like a terrific evening. I wish we had those kind of events in our neck of the woods more often.
Hope you all are having a terrific Monday morning.
I'll come help ya, brdlwyr...
