Anyone for a Canadian Maple Mojito. Oh its good to be home!
PalJoey, I think it's safe to get out of bed tomorrow.
oh, I hope tomorrow is better than today!
I got a call from my Dad a few hours ago that my Grandmother died.
She was 100 years old, and lived a very full life...
She was an inspiration to me, having been a career woman (working at the Pentagon) during the decades when it wasn't common for women to enter the workforce and end up in leadership positions.
Mostly, though, she was just my Grandma... and my heart is broken today.

Addy and I was complaining about copying.
I have never met you, but I have gleaned a sense of your compassionate personality from these posts and I do give my heart felt condolences to you.
Cheers to your Grandma!
Addy: I'm so sorry to hear for your loss. My thoughts are with you and your family.
Addy;
I am sosorry to hear of your loss. 100. WOW. She had a full life.
Addy... my thoughts are with you and your family. *hugs*
Thanks, friends! I truly appreciate your thoughts and hugs!
and, yes, Dame, she had a full life. So that's something to be celebrated.
Thoughts, prayers, hugs and kisses to you Addy. I also lost my grandmother at the age of 100 a few years ago. She was also quite a dame having had a "career" as a pianist for the silent movies. She played all the "big" houses in the northeast. After talkies, she went on to work as a mathematician/statistician for the government, a job she did well in to her late seventies. Here's to all the great women who made a difference.
Addy, so sorry to hear about your loss. Thoughts, prayers and hugs to you and your family.

And, thanks to you and bdwaygirl for your notes and nice thoughts!
Darlingest Adsypoo,
Given your recent loss, I feel that it is my heartfelt duty to dedicate my first cocktail of the morning to your lovely, spunky Grandmomsicles. Here's to her! (Who's like her? Damn few!)
*martini in the mornin'*
martinis in the morning!
What an honor!
Cheers!

Addy - one of my clients called me an hour ago and I am certain that he was wasted! How charming.
uh oh. Wasted isn't good!
I'm on a conference call until 2pm. Ugh! Good thing I can sit in my office and multi-task.
Til 2?
My ADD would never allow that. I'd get bored and slip into my Blanche Deveraux impersonation.
or reach for a Cosmo to make the conference call at least interesting...
It will take more than a cosmo to make this call interesting. It's about ERP business requirements. It's a DAMN good thing I can be in my own office... Zzzzzzzzzz.
Then I have a call from 2 to 3 to review a training program I'm presenting next Monday and Tuesday.
Then I have part two of the ERP conference call from 3 to 6pm.
Can my life be any more thrilling?
...not to imply that ERP business requirements aren't fascinating. It's just any conference call that lasts this long is tough to endure.
Where's ckeaton when I need him?
We could all trade jobs for a day! Ha!
Who wants mine?

I saw you all on the thread and decided it was the perfect opportunity to introduce you to my new favorite cocktail. This is an actual photo that was taken of it in Tantra, Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ladies and, er.. Ladies, may I present The Cardamom Rum Martini....
