Good morning... strange day in the PacNW... it's overcast and rainy, yet warm and muggy. Not usual for these parts...

Sheryl Lee Ralph and J. Louisa Kelly ( yes dear). It is suppose to be very mediocre. But I have to go. Jeanna is a client.

Sad when you have "names" yet a mediocre show.

I guess the material is mediocre. I heard the cst is great.. but as of last Friday night Ms Ralph had yet not commited her lines to memory. ( they get very little rehearsal time for these shows)

Is it a full-fledged production or more like a concert? "Blondes" had minimal staging, and the actors were walking around the stage holding their scripts.

I'd rather she carry her script, though, than stand there and constatly flub her lines.

When thy first started they were staged concerts with scripts in hand. Now they are somewhere between that and fully staged productions. I prefer they have their scripts in hands with this little rehearsal time instead of trying to come off as something they are not.

Who needs a Mojito time?

Good afternoon all. Busy weekend here and I just have a moment.

We really had a fabulous day at the Oriental yesterday. We had 20 orchestra seats about 20 rows back. We arrived early after visiting the Picasso. The girls then had to visit the Oz Boutique - $30 for a "baby doll" t-shirt? The kids behaved very well and were enthusiastic about the show. Stephanie is just outstanding - that was unanimous. Katie was on as Glinda. I liked her - nice voice and very funny. I preferred Kendra – but Katie was great. Derrick still did not do it for me. I am not a critic, but he just does not seem right.

This is third time seeing Wicked and what amazes me (after Stephen’s great music) are the sets, costumes and lighting design are just spectacular. C11 said after Defying Gravity – I screeched – it just slipped out. My uptight brother in law loved the show as did some of my friends who had no exposure to Wicked.

One sad aspect about productions as these is that due to the price it is just not accessible to most. I dropped a quick $700 in just a few hours. Very expensive afternoon.

We had a great party at our house with green balloons, green utensils, etc. We stayed up to late and I had to sing this morning (not too bad of voice this morning.) C7 had one of our friends build him monkey wings. (He is proud because he as seen Wicked three times and not his sisters.)

The funniest thing to me about last night is that I served Appletinis whereas they are green. (Remember I am not a sugar drink fan.)

The cousins are still here – they leave tomorrow.

Fun and memorable weekend for the kids!

(Is it 5:00 yet.)
