DD - dinner sounded excellent.
Great day here for yard work. The Hospital tour was very informative and seemed to alleviate some of her fears.
Happy Saturday.
Getting the house ready for the parents. I am stressed.

Ha Ha - this is the first weekend in 8 weeks with no guests!
I certainly understand your stress..

I understand your stress, Dame. Last time my mother visited here for 10 days I told myself I WOULD NOT make any special efforts. Of course I spent the two days before her arrival cleaning every nook and cranny and figuring out how to thwart any snooping activities...
It actually turned out to be a smart move because for the bulk of her visit (which was to attend her high school reunion) while she was with friends 2 hrs away in our hometown) I was in the hospital with pancreatitis.

Next to the 420. I do not have to deal with items, my urologist is a sadist, but does great work.

"Next to the 420". YOU KILL ME!
Aww, you guys sound like you were having so much fun this afternoon! Work was, well, work. I'm quite tired of going to so many bar and bat mitzvahs, I feel like I am 13 again.
So what kind of over the top things did they have at this bat mitzvah?
This one wasn't too bad, just a rented room in a nice restaurant in the village. It was very intimate and small, more of a luncheon. Nothing compared to last week's extravaganza!
Tell me about last weeks extravaganza. I like hearing about them but I hate going to them.
Last week's was one of the nicest parties I have been to, including weddings. It was at the Pierre Hotel on 5th Ave, and the kid had buffets of every kind of food (sushi, chinese, kid finger food, italian, mexican, indian, etc), and a virtual roller coaster machine, dance dance revolution, poker tables, ping pong, fuseball, make your own wax hands, jewelry engraving, karaoke, those pictures you take that put your face in times square or on magazines, 12 piece band, magicians, tattoo (fake) artists, I can't even remember what else! That was just the kids room before the dinner party with the big band, dancing, DJ, dinner, and everything else!
My sister got married in that hotel
Did she have all that fun stuff at her wedding?
NO. That sounds like my kind of party
Virtual rollercoaster for a barmitzvah?
yup, i've seen that at a few actually. It's pretty fun!
makes me wish we were Jewish - that sounds like fun...

OTA - is that Mandy? We have C11 and C9 at a sleepover. C7 is off to bed.
Lwyr - yup, I'm starting Mandy in cool duds week... lol
Isn't that weird? C11 and C9 are also at a sleepover, and C5 also (finally) went to bed...
