We did partake this morning, but not 420. I have not had 420 since 1987.....

Thank you, L - I was feeling quite sorry for myself (*slap*, *slap*)
BL - good thing you're on that Central thing, cause it's 11:05 here, and by my calculations - you're late!

Posted: 6/2/05 at 11:12amAh, how nice it must be to have cleaning people... not to mention living in a house! I forget what it is like to have space bigger than a shoebox!

L - cleaning service is a rarity. She is the primary cleaner.
Back at the office. Mother in Law arrived safely. I look forward to our cocktail our together.

DD - you are correct. There was a span of 60 days in Summer 2003 during which we had guests.
C9 is having her tonsils out and my mother-in-law is a former nurse and wanted to come to make sure everything is OK. I love to have her here. She is a delight. My mother, on the other hand, is a different story.

Posted: 6/2/05 at 2:48pmBL - are you SURE we're not the same person? I feel the same way about my M-in-L and my Mother... (doesn't hurt that my Mother-in-Law takes my kids to NYC for a show on their birthday, and my Mother thinks Idina and Kristin were in "Twisted")... LOL!

OTA - the only proof that we are not the same is that you son is C5 and mine is C7.
The issues with my mother are likely different. The problems are physical. She is so immobile that she just sits around all day. It was much more enjoyable in teh past, and I do love her dearly. She is hip with all of today's music, films, etc. She like to keep in touch and she will tell me if she sees Kristin on the West Wing. My mother in law was with us when we saw Wicked on Broadway.
L - only in time if you so choose.

<--- Currently happy to be single...
I so love my parents, especially mom. For one, she's so supportive of whatever we do. She's so excited about me trying out for CATS, even if it means that I might get to miss a Costarican Christmas yet again...

DD: WHEN you get into CATS... WHEN you get into CATS...
Okay, I'm the bad son... I DO love my mother, but dealing with her is like living Act III of "Our Town" when Emily comes back for her birthday...I have not had a substantive conversation with her in years (not for lack of trying, though.)

Just had a 3 hour meeting with all the things we need to do over the summer. *sigh* I miss the kids!

brdlwyr and OTA- you can send your kids to me, I'll take them to a show :)
I'm babysitting tonight for twin 5th grade girls though, so maybe tomorrow!
