I am sure they don't...
more Jimmy --
I really do appreciate the fact you're sittin' here
Your voice sounds so wonderful
But yer face don't look too clear
So bar maid bring a pitcher, another round o' brew...
(note: leaving last line out because there are kids around...)

and another song by Jimmy:
Waitress, I need two more boat drinks.
Then I'm headin south 'fore my dream shrinks.
I gotta where it's warm.

Hello, Kids!
You all are speaking my language today. I saw JB in concert at college for the first time in the 80s and haven't missed his annual Atlanta show in about 20 years!
I just finished his novel "A Salty Piece of Land". It's a fun pick-me-up for the winter blahs.

Cute picture, Cookie! - And here are all the lyrics to "Boat Drinks" for those who want to sing along:
"Boat drinks. Boys in the band ordered boat drinks.
Visitors just scored on the home rink.
Everything seems to be wrong.
Lately, newspaper mentioned cheap airfare.
I've got to fly to Saint Somewhere.
I'm close to bodily harm.
[Chorus:]
Twenty degrees and the hockey games on.
Nobody cares; they are way too far gone,
screamin' "Boat drinks," somethin'
to keep them all warm.
This morning I shot six holes in my freezer.
I think I got cabin fever.
Somebody sound the alarm.
I'd like to go where the pace or life's slow.
Could you beam me somewhere, Mister Scott?
Any old place here on Earth or in space.
You pick the century and I'll pick the spot.
I know I should be leaving this climate.
I got a verse but can't rhyme it.
I gotta go where it's warm.
Boat drinks.
Waitress, I need two more boat drinks.
Then I'm headin south 'fore my dream shrinks.
I gotta where it's warm.
I gotta go where it's warm.
I gotta go where it's warm.
I gotta go where there ain't any snow,
where there ain't any blow,
'cause my fin sinks so low.
I gotta go where it's warm".

You'll enjoy it, Mom - it's fluffy - but "very" Buffett.
How was the Dog Show??
#788Stepped on a pop top;
Posted: 2/16/05 at 12:44pmDog show was good. I was really pulling for the terrier. The pointer was amazing!

Posted: 2/16/05 at 12:48pmVery good. "Hairspray" last night was a lot of fun. Keala Settle IS Tracy. She is a real find. John Pinette was terrific as Edna.

#791Stepped on a pop top;

#792Stepped on a pop top;

Au contraire!
Perhaps you have not noticed the new quote on my signature line!
#794Stepped on a pop top;
Posted: 2/16/05 at 3:17pmI guess she could do it. The character is a total bitch. And while that would be a strech for our Corine. I bet she could do it.

Dame,
Yes, Sue Cella plays Velma, but I believe she was out last night. I think Corine2 stepped in for her.
Aren't you friends with the touring Musical Conductor, Jim Vukovich? He used to post here awhile back. Jim flashed his pearly whites a few times at the appreciative crowd!
