Posted: 2/15/05 at 1:30pmcareful.... Muscle is denser than fat, not heavier... A pound of muscle and fat "weigh" the same... But body composition will tell you the difference. Have you consulted your doctor about the meds and the gym goals?

It's a PI (protease inhibitor). I was on one about 4 years ago, and I gained A LOT of weight then. I went off it, lost weight, now on a different one, and though I haven't "gained" that much weight, I just can't seem to get rid of it.
cam... it messes with your liver and the way it processes fat, so one tends to store more of it.
cookie... had the body composition done by my trainer at the gym. I'm seeing my dr. in april and will address the issue then... was just hoping to look good with all these 20 yo's in the show I'm in now.

yes Cookie you are right a pound of muscle is the same as pound of fat wieght wise.. I should have been more clear on what I meant.. density is the key..

I am getting drunk on DEW ON THE ROCKS tonight because I just set up an interview for a great paying job that I really need and I am TERRIFIED. Maybe the drink will calm my nerves.
