BL - you will need a BIG loan - both my daughters took their American Girls (Josephina and Kit) to "tea" at American Girl Place in Manhattan - you would have thought Coco Chanel had designed their new duds!
I'm so glad there are people here (finally) - I felt like I was holding down the fort all alone!

Posted: 6/13/05 at 12:22pmI am hoping that there will not be any new American Girl purchases, they actually do not play with them as much. C7 is psyched for the life size Lego Darth Vader which is supposedly at the store. He has been talking about it for weeks.

he's going to buy a life sized DV? or just going to look?
Personally, I like Leggos more when they were just Leggos and you could make whatever you wanted - now they seem to be very specific...
#8505Who needs a Mojito time?
Posted: 6/13/05 at 12:26pmI'm so with you on that one, OTA... my friends and I just had that discussion over the weekend... how I used to have a huge box full of legos and did some amazing things. I still love them though.

he he he
That last post was on purpose, OTA...
Anyway... I just got my headshots. And as much as I hate pix of me, I figured I'd share with you fine folk, and get your opinion as to which one you like best, smiling or not. SO... only for today (or at least until I remember to delete them)...
(if the pix are gone by the time you see this they've been deleted)

Leggos are so complicated now. It is excellent marketing though.
The Darth Vader is a display.
HOLD the presses - not a dime spent at the Americal Girl, but they would not fix Kit, so C9 is not happy.

BL - I'll get to Kit in a min...
DD: YAY!!!!!
VERY NICE! Go with the smiling one, IMHO...
#8510Who needs a Mojito time?
Posted: 6/13/05 at 12:33pm*ahem* - ok, BL - what was wrong with Kit, and why won't those evil people fix her????

DD - very nice! You look a little like Brian Stokes Mitchell, which I had not seen in previous pics.
Off to lunch - salad today - I was at the top of the allowed 5 pound weight spread.

Thanks for your feedback... smiling, eh? I think that my teeth look huge in that pic, but that seems to be the consensus.
KS... nice to see you around. You've been in my thoughts...
brdlwyr... Brian Stokes Mitchell? *grabs compliment and runs*

brdlwyer -- have fun with Salad! Now that I started eating again, I should stop this whole "I can eat what I want because I got my wisdom teeth out" BS.
DD - teeth never hurt anyone. Hell, look at Julia Roberts!

actually, now that it's out there - I do see a resemblance to the Stokes-man (apologies to BSM if he's reading this and cringes at the name "Stokes-man")
DD? I saw Barrett Foa this weekend, you're teeth look like little pebbles compared to the boulders that man has in his mouth.

Posted: 6/13/05 at 1:51pmHey now! As a person with big teeth, I don't like you all making fun of those of us unfortunate to have boulders in our mouths!!!

Liotte - I'm sure you're boulders are every bit as beautiful as Mr. Foa's... personally, I'd kill for an amazing set of choppers!
For Mr. Foa and Liotte:
And when he smiled he lit the night
With grace and confidence.
His teeth were clean and straight and
white just like a picket fence.
I couldn't look directly at them-
They were that intense.
