Posted: 6/14/05 at 9:33amNope - I've been there... my wife couldn't sleep last night, either - she told me this morning that it was too cold with the air on... we haven't regulated the temperature in the house yet...

Posted: 6/14/05 at 9:46amI agree- temperatures are major problems! I was definitely hot, A/C is going in today!

Posted: 6/14/05 at 9:49amI'm amazed you lasted this long... I try to hold off as long as possible, mainly because I hate the closed in feeling (I'd rather hear what's going on outside)... but it's just too hot!!! (our weather's supposed to cool down by the end of the week, though..)

FOF's, Bway?
I love FOFs...
That drink looks mighty delicious, but it's a wee bit early in the day for me.
This is my 'scope for the day:
Telling them exactly how it should be done is extremely tempting, but is it actually going to further the cause? Let them muddle through, just for now -- you can offer your help (or is it plain old criticism?) down the road.
I NEVER criticize!

Mr. Singer...
Don't want to be accused of pushing drinks before noon... I'll just leave this out, and if you want to mix your own...

#8613Who needs a Mojito time?
Posted: 6/14/05 at 10:41amI don't really care for flavored water. If I am drinking water, I don't want it to taste like, well, anything!!

Just checking in, no I do not drink flavored water - it is just silly. I prefer Evian.
I almost gagged on the train when a young yet very stinky homeless man entered the car!!!!! Yuck.
#8615Who needs a Mojito time?
Posted: 6/14/05 at 11:21amI hate it when stinky people (homeless or not) get on the train and make the entire thing smell. And it happens more and more in the sweaty, humid NYC summers. I feel your pain!

When: Always on November 13
Here is a holiday that originated from a cartoon. It all began in Al Capp's "Lil Abner Cartoon in the 1930's. In the cartoon series, the mayor of Dogpatch was desperate to marry off his ugly daughter. So he created Sadie Hawkin's Day. On this day, a race is held and all the single men were given a short head start. If a woman catches her man, he had to marry her.
Sadie Hawkins Day races and events grew in popularity during the course of All Capp's long running cartoon. This cartoon made holiday largely died out after 40 years when the cartoon was discontinued. It can occasionally be seen celebrated on college campuses.

Buenos días Mojitianos...
How's everyone this a.m.? After a respite in the weather, our rain is back, especially in the foothills of the Cascades. Would anyone care to take a guess where the Snoqualmie Falls Forest Theater, home to the upcoming production of Camelot, is located?

We're going this Friday, Dame Sadie!
We had Sadie Hawkins dances in High School - for homecoming. The Saturday of homecoming weekend was Sadie Hawkins day. Oh, the pressure!
