L - I just thought about this, I was speaking with an attorney on a case and I told him that I was going to DC. He is working on the purchase of the Nationals and said that he will get me tickets for Tuesday for me and my brothers in law! Should be fun.

I'm sorry if I'm about to make the mood a bit somber...

I have a friend who has AIDS and recently was fighting cancer. I thought he was on his way to recovery. But I just found out from another friend that he's not expected to live much longer than 2 to 6 months. Any longer than that would be exceptional. I don't know what I'm feeling right now... sorry to bring you all down.

Thanks... surprisingly, I haven't really lost friends to AIDS, so this is a first for me. I want to call him and say... something, but was told that that's the reason he's not telling people, because he doesn't want to be seen and treated like he's dying. So just have to continue acting like nothing's up, like he's on the mend like I have been, even though I know it's not true.

Sorry. I was losing it. I'm a bit more composed now...

What I meant is that I thought he was in recovery from cancer. Every time we talk is about his progress, his plans, how he's on the mend. Plans for the future... last weekend we were talking about renting a house boat next summer in Eastern Washington. That's what I've been doing, and am going to have to continue doing it, pretending that it's all better when I know it isn't. That's all. Nothing up with me...

The hugs are greatly appreciated. It's so nice to know I can share this with you all.
