Good morning all, mouse problems for me and not the rodent type.
We had a few drops of rain this morning - the first in weeks, but not really enough to make a dent in the shortfall.
Morning all!
Congrats on the audition DD!
Breakfast looks great, thanks!
What, my last day at home and no one is out to play???

We are having new brochures prepared and we had a client that does wedding photos take the pictures and they suck and I cannot convince these Bozos that we need better photos!
Hey L!
I heard that it is your boyfriend's birthday!
Hey brdlwyr! I just sent him an email!
Isn't it their loss if they don't want to take new photos?

Yes, they are idiots somtimes.
What are your plans today?
Plans today are packing, doing last minute errands, and then flying out tonight.
I really can't imagine being like most of you with a 9-5 desk job (not to mean anything offensive by that!). I just can't sit still and need to be active and running around. How do you do it???

LOL, good answer!
Have you seen the Wicked sit-down production yet in Chicago? I can't remember...

No, we really have not had the chance with vacation. I might wait until September when there are less tourtists.

Crazy week! I have kid duty all week - shuffling them all to camp before I come to work - it's exhausting! Don't know how other people do it - I stress out and need several mojitos by 9:30 in the morning!

It is stressful for me and I am only assisting!!! Things are better C11 moved to another camp today where all of her friends are. I opposed the move, but left it up to her mother and her.
C9 also was moved to the group with all of her friends.
IS your wife out of town?
Hey! OTA finally figured out to how to use his computer!
And this is my 3000th post, wow I've been online too much!!
okay, these cracks about my age are getting OLD!!! (and who brought breakfast this morning, Missy!??)
BL - nope, my Mother-in-Law usually takes them, but she's visiting my Sister-in-Law for a week, so we're scrambling! Yuk Yuk Yuk
Ok, no more old cracks unless they are truly deserved (so watch yourself!).
Why don't you guys send your kids to sleepaway camp for the summer, then you don't have to deal with them and all the complaints every day??
this is actually the first time we've ever done this... up until this year, my wife was home with them - so we're new at this whole Summer thing... that may be an option for next year (maybe)...
Sleepaway camp is awesome, I went for 18 years (including as staff) and wish I could still go back.
the only sleepaway camp I ever did was two weeks of H*ll at an "all-pro sports camp" (sports being the impetus for the use of the word H*LL)

My scardy cats would never go to overnight camp. Also, I assume the cost is significant.
yup, that's my fear - we'd get a call at 2 AM the first night to come get them... I think the cost of the camp would be cheap compared to the dollars we'd have to spend on therapy!
While kids can get homesick at first, especially their first time away, the counselors and unit heads and directors are all very well prepared to deal with it. In all my years on staff, there was only 1 2nd grader who I decided should go home early because of homesickness. The rest all get over it and have a great time, and don't want to leave at the end of the session.
