I think I am too much of a simpleton to appreciate Harry Potter. David Sedaris - that is another story.
OTA, when you move in these circles (or work in them as Liotte and I have), you become familiar with this term: "weekend nanny."

I am the weekend Nanny!!!!
I am taking C7 to a Cubs game on Saturday. Much fun!
Actually Rath, as I have yet to be out here for a weekend, I think rather than a weekend nanny, these kids chill with their parents. Of course there is a lot of help here (I think I've met 10 people so far employed by the family on a daily basis- sitters, housekeepers, cook, baby nurse, gardeners, pool man, etc), so everyone takes turns with the kids. They are very chill and relaxed about childcare (OMG the mom and the 2 babies played in the toilet yesterday, splashing around and patting each others faces, ew ew ew)
Hmmm, toilet play...
sooo sorry - I realized it was DarlingEST after I posted and I couldn't.get.it.back!!!
Weekend Nanny - this is an interesting term... BL - c9 and I are going to a production of "Cole" tomorrow night - trying to give my children an appreciation of the founding fathers!
Liotte: toilet? ewwwww!
*cue scene: A swankified manse in the Hamptons. Enter: Liotte
GRACE: Cecille will pick out all your clothes
CECILLE: [spoken] Green is her best color, no blue I think.
GRACE: Your bath is drawn by Mrs. Greer.
GREER: [spoken] Soap...no, bubbles, I think.
GRACE: Annette comes in to make your bed.
ANNETTE: [spoken] The silk, no the satin sheets, I think.
LIOTTE: I think I'm gonna like it here!
GRACE: The swimming pool is to the left
LIOTTE: [spoken] Inside the house? Oh boy.
GRACE: The tennis court is in the rear
LIOTTE: [spoken] I never even picked up a racket.
GRACE: Have an instructor here at noon
[spoken] Oh, and get that Don Budge fellow if he's available.
LIOTTE: I think I'm gonna like it here.
GRACE: When you wake Ring for Drake
Drake will bring your tray
When you're through Mrs.Pugh
Comes and takes it away.
GRACE AND SERVANTS: No need to pick up any toys
LIOTTE: [spoken] That's okay, I just brought my laptop.
GRACE: No finger will you lift my dear
ALL: We have but one request
Please put us to the test
LIOTTE: I know I'm gonna like it here
Used to room in a tomb
Where I'd sit and freeze
Get me now, holy cow
Could someone pinch me please.
GRACE: [spoken] She didn't mean it.
[Singing] We've never had a little girl
ALL: We've never had a BWW girl
GRACE AND SERVANTS: We hope you understand Your wish is our command
LIOTTE, GRACE AND SERVANTS: I know I'm gonna like it here
We know you're gonna like It here
ALL: Welcome!
"LIOTTE: [spoken] That's okay, I just brought my laptop."

Liotte...Did you ever read that bestseller (a year or so ago) written by those gals who were nannies to the Rich and Famous?

I had a nice lunch at the Union League Club with my partner. Stodgy and conservative - but nice (club and partner!)
Maybe we should have one of those bike-ride fundraisers... Seattle to NYC. Who's with me?
I think I'm gonna go shopping for a PDA at lunch. I need something to keep my crazy schedule organized.
L - you are having WAY too much fun.
OTA - where do you come up with this stuff?

I could use some biking. All of my kids have new bikes this week. What a life!
Biking is a great family outing...
SO went out to buy a PDA, and was totally thinking of a Palm or something like that. But after evaluating what I'm really going to use it for, mostly calendar and addresses, I figured I didn't need all that. I don't really want to be connected 24-hours a day, sending email and working at all times. So I got me a cheap'o Sony organizer...
Not that its relevant in any shape or form to anything. Just thought I'd share.

Can you sync it with your computer calender?
Oh yeah. That was a prerequisite.
How was the bath, DD?
How is everybody in Mojitoland this evening?
Mojitoland seems quiet.
I had a ****ty ending to my day at work... didn't get to go to my dance class. Now paying bills and cleaning at home instead... at least I won't do it during the weekend. I think I'm gonna drag my roomie out this evening though.

DD - I just said to my wife that we have got to get out more often this Summer. Tomorrow night we have SEVEN ten year olds to celebrate as C9 becomes C10!!!!
Hi Ho - how's everyone this evening??? Nothing too exciting here - just hanging and watching W&G - c9 had mega trauma earlier though - she was stung by a bee while she was in the pool - people six counties away heard her screaming about it - poor thing!

OTA - we posted at the same time, that sucks for C9. Do you have a pool at home?
yes and no, BL (long story - don't want to bore the world... )lol!
I hate bee stings...
Happy birthday wishes for soon-to-be C10!!!
woo hoo, BL - I missed c9 becoming c10 - congrats - two digits! Don't envy you the sleepover, though - been there. done that!
