No luck with the lotto tonight (damn it was packed! I hate summer), I'll try the matinee tomorrow. And if I don't get tix then, my friend Lisa and I are going to go kayaking on the hudson from the 72nd street boathouse. And I still have ASU tomorrow night. Yay!
And GH- I suppose I am the goos :)
Liotte, you are a very good goos. Sorry you had no luck with the lottery tonight.
It's all good GH, I suppose people who have never seen wicked should see it before I see it for the 25th time...
I went to see Must Love Dogs. It was cute, very predictable and John Cusack kinda bugged me, but it was fun to see.
What's new down under?
Hi Liotte and gettinhemp.
Hola mojitians... anyone around?
Lovely evening in the great Pacific Northwest. Visited with a couple of friends, had an improptu bbq, then went out for a very bad mojito. Home early tonight...
Hey DD
Just got back to my hotel after a LONG evening. 9.5 hours on my feet, shooting debutantes, without food is very tiring. We all went out to eat afterwards, and it had been 12 hours sans food - I was STARVED! The deb ball was a little slow (I've been to really hectic ones), but that doesn't make it any less tiring, trust me.
So now I'm just calming down from a big night.
How are you doing? And what is this "Some Like It Hot" thing?
Sounds like a long day. I figure a deb ball is something like a 15-year old birthday party in Latin America. A big to-do to introduce young women into society kind'a thing, eh?
I have no idea what you're talking about re: "Some Like It Hot"
DAME mentioned it a while back, nevermind.
A deb ball...you could say it's like a quincenaera (I know I didn't spell it right) but in this case, it involves 78 19 year old girls. They have rehearsals and luncheons, and the ball itself -- and the party afterwards.
So much alcohol, oy.
In the end, it's not too bad.
Ah... so you know quinceañera... Bid deal back home, it even involves a mass and everything.
And the scary thing is? Even though most kids are 15, there's also LOTS of alcohol.
And then they wonder why alcoholism is a problem.
Once in LA, there was a quinceanera going on...I swear, there were SO many people, about the same as at my Bat Mitzvah!
Alcohol -- good god, in the South, they know how to drink! Chattanooga has always been very heavy on the alcohol, I noticed it last time I was here as well.
Oh yeah. My ex is from Kentucky. And even though they lived in a dry county, there was lots of drinking.
I believe "Dry County" and any state south of D.C. is simply oxymoronic.
Alright - I'm gonna watch an episode of Bewitched and hit the hay. Night!
I wouldn't mind a lot of drinking. Just finished reading the Iliad.
That's right, I have no life.
Take your pick...
Morning everyone!
It's a beautiful day in NYC, and I'm trying to decide now if I want to go rush Wicked or just spend the day outside (as I prob won't win the lotto anyway).
I need a very big drink after reading that Rosie is most likely taking over Golde in FIDDLER.
Wow, I didn't know that. Haven't read the news and main board yet today. Interesting...
there are really too many comments i could make about rosie and harvey being in fiddler
harris, there is a thread on the main board where we are making those comments. Join us!
Yes there is. But isn't it bogus? I don't see and real links or articles about this.
It's in Rob's Broadway Pulse - he seems to think his sources are pretty reliable.
Rosie as Golde sounds wrong.
Wait... doesn't Rosie visit Mojito-land?
I'd rather have a drink with her than see her as Golde.
