Posted: 3/1/05 at 5:33pmIt's a religious thing, DAME. In Virginia, they also have 'blue laws' - which control which type of businesses can operate on Sundays. We won't even get into what's going on in Utah.

Posted: 3/1/05 at 5:44pmin WA State we have ABC stores as well... but you can buy Wine and Beer at the super market. However, you can't buy alcohol on a Sunday. They're trying to change that right now and have the ABC stores open on Sundays. (I don't know if they're called ABC here but after living in NoVA for so long that's what I still call them)
