Good Morning/Afternoon Mom.
Basketball for the girls is finished today. They won for 3rd place and the 11 year old scored twice.
Good for your daughter! It is tough when you realize that the babies born when I was a freshman are now in college!!!
Did I miss a report from ElTico re: opening night.
Oh, and Boobs - I love Chicago!!!
off to the grocery store....

Goodmorning Hussys. Disco night was fabulous. My honey and me danced till closing. And the beautiful men were out last night in full force. beautiful nice gorgeous men. Not the twinks the other part of town gets.

Good morning all! Wow, opening night was great. The audience loved it, which goes to show "what do I know", right? (as you know, I've had just a "few" issues with the production) They laughed at everything, and clapped for about 10 minutes at the end. HUGE rush. The entire weekend has just been... AMAZING. The rest of the shows were received were well too... this is where the payback comes after months of rehearsing and arguing with the bf about the time spent away.
OH Dame... had the most delicious Cucumber Mojito on Friday night. Totally drank to you! (If you're ever in Seattle... Broadway Grill is the place to go for Mojitos, btw)

ElTico - great for you. I do miss those opening nights. Now, I enjoy attending them and having a cocktail at intermission.
Weather in CHI is gorgeous. I have the doors open.
How long is the run?
Oh... just two weeks. It's the director's labour of love. It's all her and the choreographer's money. We're all wishing it was longer.
Tico;
Glad you had a wonderful opening. Congragulations! Now; I don't know about cucumber mojitos.. Hmm.

Dame - no appreciation for the 29 seconds that I spent googling a disco icon?
Just got back from seeing Dessa Rose at Lincoln Center. I cried through the curtain call, cried through the cab ride home, dripping tears on the keyboard as I write this.
Go read my mini-review on the main board, then go online and buy tickets.
Hello all...been a very busy week at work...but got a great 10 hour treat today!
My honey is home from France, enroute to Arizona tomorrow! Granted, it's only 12 hours, but I'll take that ove no hours any day!
And he brought home some AMAZING wine from Provence (wheere he is living for 6 months).....

PJ - look forward to your review. I was nearly crying - oh that was because the kids were fighting and not going to bed.
K--what are the names of the vineyards and are any of them rose's?
I'm totally into French rose's since I realized they were actually GOOD!
And tell him I say welcome back.
AMAZING rose PJ...from a vineyard in Cassis (where Jeffery is living)..."Domaine Du Paternel"
SPECTACULAR

KMF - more details on the wines. I generally only buy CA and Australian - I ignore the French aisle - because I have no clue.
Matt - where were you?

brdlwyr -- not sure you will find this vinter in the states at all...very small vineyard in a small Provence willage -- my lover brought home a few bottles in his suitcase...but it is an amazing Rose...crisp, dry and delicious in the mouth....not a complex wine, but for sipping pre-dinner or with cheese...PERFECT!
Oh Cookie...THAT'S it!!!!!!!!!!!!! I adore you!

Anyone ever had Samos before? It's a sweet Greek dessert wine.
not sweet at all BRD...the color let you think it will be sweeet, but not even close...as I said earlier -- crisp, dry and a nicce sharp finish
Cookie -- we had that 2nd bottle when I was in Cassis in January -- you are amazing -- you know me and my wine tastes!
French and Italian dessert wines have become almost ridiculously overpriced. Maybe Greek dessert wines are the next frontier.
Mattio--I've never had Samos, but our favorite Greek restaurant always brings us a little glass of homemade dessert wine after dinner. It's delicious.
