When you were an infant...

DD and I were in high school then and Dame was just reaching his 30's.
OOH brdy... you like stirring the pot...
I was a Highschool Sophmore in 85.
Really? I graduated HS in 1984.
Anyway... I'm off kids. Getting some work done today.

DD - how did you gradute in 84 - I thought you were a year younger than me??? I graduated in 85.
Haha, you all ARE old!
I was 6 in 1985, not an infant!
Well... our school year is from Mar. to Nov., so it would be the equivalent of graduating in '85 in the U.S. Plus we only go up to eleventh grade.
We are not old, L. You are just young.
That is a wacky school system.
And I keep pulling out gray hairs, so I am definitely not young anymore. Oy.
Wedding Singer tonight, yay! And Tarzan tomorrow, and Bee sunday. Good show weekend!
OUR system is wacky? OUR SYSTEM IS WACKY?!!!
Don't get me started, girl. Our schools are much tougher than U.S. schools, at least when it comes to high school.
Wedding Singer reviews were about what I expected.
I don't deny that your schools are tougher than ours. Just the school year and graduating in 11th grade is wacky.

Costa Rica tidbit - "It is also the only country in the western hemisphere which does not have an army. In fact it abolished its army in 1949 and allocated the defence budget to education. The results of this " guns versus butter" decision has resulted in the highest literacy rate in the western hempispere."
I hope whoever it is with that higher literacy rate didn't actually write "hempispere".

Typos notwithstanding, their approach and dedication to education is impressive - and the results should humble the world's 'superpower'.
Costarican summer is from Dec. to Feb. Not 'truly' summer, as we are in the northern hemisphere, but because of it's location, angle, etc., that's when our dry season is. If we had our vacation during the real "summer" it would be raining the entire time we were at the beach.

"it would be raining the entire time we were at the beach."
Well, that would never do - unless of course it meant that you had to find some way to occupy the surfers' time indoors . . .
Those freakish "surfos" (as they're called back home) don't let something as silly as weather keep them from the waves. Hell, they go out there during a hurricane. *sigh*
Now in the evenings...

DD - Did you get to enjoy the weather yesterday afternoon?
Yes I did. Walked around my neighborhood and to the park. Then ran home, changed, and went to dinner. Saw some excellent views on the way to dinner. Yet more places to put on the list for August.
I will be spending next december break in Costa Rica, I've decided. At DD's family's house.

Yee-haw! I just realized last night that I have to get new hiking boots. We lost a bag they were in on a trip last year I needed a new pair anyway. I was only holding onto them because of all the great places they had been - but they were ready to be retired!

I had a nice stroll through Millenium Park and then a pigeon pooped on my jacket!!!
You go L! I might be home for the holidays myself...
New hiking boots? Do you have REI in LA?
