When you get these "offers", are they free tickets?
I'm SO anxious about it!
Night Undi! Are you sleeping with a certain picture under your pillow ?
You don't have to do that!!

Which I read are very good!
Liotte-you would have loved what I did tonight! Oy, I'm stuffed. I worked the Lortel Awards at my theatre. Then I went to the after party. I wasn't going to, but at the last minute I changed my mind. I didn't dress up, so I went in a sweatshirt! Anyway, it was at Ruth Chris' steak house. They have the best steak in town, and it was flowing just like the martinis. I'm so impressed. Usually the parties I go to suck. And we got goodie bags which are filled with good stuff!
Oh-and there were a ton of actors. I cared more about the food!
Hi, Janey-Waney.
Ruth's Chris has really great food...especially for "a chain"!

I just talked about Ruth's Chris on Sunday! I always throw a little butter on my friend's steak when he is here for dinner!
Well, this one certainly wasn't a chain in style and quality. It was quite the soiree. We were all so impressed. I never was at an after party that served caviar, the best cuts of steak, hors d'oevres all night, a bar just for martinis, the other bars were all open for any drinks, i mean this was great. Our bags have gym memberships, cd's, t shirt, books, and one great big rice krispy cake!
I had dinner there several years ago, but it was so good that it is memorable. I remember drinking many martinis that night, too.

I know! It's probably no big deal, but I never went to such a party in all my years of after-partying! Please excuse my over exuberance!
Jane, that sounds wonderful! I babysat for a kid whose parents did something at the awards tonight. I think they did a scene from the Heidi Chronicles.
And sorry for the delay, but I JUST BOUGHT A NEW COMPUTER!!!!
Liotte-YES-Joan Allen and a guy did a long scene honoring Wendy Wasserstein. I forgot his name.
Hey, I just noticed they put in a Sweeney Todd cd!
I have never read a bad review for ANY Ruth's Chris. In fact, it usually gets a "Best of" listing. The only complaint I have ever read is that the name of the restaurant is weird.
That guy was Peter Friedman, Joan's ex husband.
What gym did you get a membership too? If you don't want to use that pass, I'll take it!
Does anyone want a book titled Women Playwrights, the Best Plays of 2000? or Plays by Laura Shaine Cunningham?

A native of Rochelle, Illinois, where she was born August 20, 1956, the blond, swanlike actress developed an interest in acting while in high school. Voted Most Likely to Succeed by her senior class, Allen went on to study theatre at Eastern Illinois University. She then moved to Chicago, where she became one of the founding members of the vaunted Steppenwolf Theatre Company, along with such respected talents as Gary Sinise and John Malkovich. Love Joan!!!
Yup, sounds about right.
No thanks on the books...
I saw Peter Friedman last October at the NY Musical Theatre Festival in "The Shaggs." He was brilliant.
I haven't seen him in anything, I don't think. Maybe Ragtime, but years ago.
Jane, where's my gym pass?
