Yes, but you need virus protection on your computer as well.
It's just like sex. The Norton is like a condom, and the best method of protection, but the secure internet connection is like birth control.
Just helps out, but without the condom, you can still have issues.
The moral is, use condoms. Oh, I mean, get Norton Anti-Virus protection.
