Hello all - First moment I've been able to get to the "boards" today. First had to take care of finishing taxes, then grocery shopping, baking and cleaning up after baking. My son came home from Chicago. He's a fun kid. Also picked up my pictures from my NY trip today. They're okay but I need to buy myself a digital camera. Plus I just didn't take enough pictures! Tomorrow is church then brunch with the family. It was beautiful weather here in Michigan today. My daughter even laid out and got some sun.

Addict - sounds like a full and fun weekend! Hope you have a good time tomorrow with your family.
Miss P, I needed a night off.
Addict, glad you had fun in NYC!
We are having an easter egg hunt for the kids tomorrow. I was trying to think of non-candy items to put inside the eggs, so I came up with the idea of putting one piece of a puzzle in each egg. Then they could work at putting it together. Does this sound stupid? Sometimes I think I just don't have the right kind of "creativity" for parenthood.

My sister would put coins, we are not creative here. I assume that my wife has some Easter bunny thing for C8 tommorrow.
We were decorating "easter cookies" today and my daughter started singing a song from Urinetown with slightly altered lyrics:
"Don't be the EASTER bunny!"
Isn't that brilliant?

Not to change the subject, but C8 is in baseball. Part of the uniform is a cup. My wife took him to Target today, upon return to home he paraded around the house with his cup and athletic supporter. He announced, "I have big balls."
Well, we know he didn't get that from his mother....
Miss P - Sounds pretty creative to me. I was lucky to even think about hiding the eggs.
DG - Thanks for the good wishes. I do enjoy my family. Also enjoy the BWW family...I did get a couple candid pictures from the restaurant Sunday night...remembrances of Miss P, DG, Addy and others.
Liotte - yes, I did and I enjoyed meeting you. Just keep seeing those shows and keeping us less fortunate out-of-towners up with what's new.
I'm pretty sure my daughter got her "spontaneously breaking into songs from Broadway shows" from me.

From Easter eggs to . . .
Must be the Mojito thread.
Are there any mojitos around here? I could use one.
We always hid ..... Easter eggs. You know - brightly colored hard-boiled eggs. Or is that not done anymore?
"When I was a kid..." we used "real" eggs, too. But my kids hate eggs. Besides, the dyeing and all that was sooo messy.
I may be Jewish, but I eat more Cadbury Eggs than matzah, that's for sure. As a kid, painting eggs at friends' houses was always fun.
Well, yeah, Liotte, dyeing easter eggs is lots of fun...FOR THE KIDS! Now that I'M the parent, I'm like "Ewww. Keep that stuff out of the house." I understand my parents so much better now.
Oh no, I love arts and crafts projects! But I bet you all could have guessed that about me already.
"Arts and crafts" is one thing, but boiling eggs, letting them cool, dipping them in dye, blah, blah, blah...and then having to throw the eggs away because no one like them to begin with just seems like something we can replace with another "fun" activity. Today we decorated cookies in the shape of bunnies and eggs. That was a little messy, but so what. At least the cookies will be eaten!!!!
LG and I just dyed eggs, and it was MAJORLY fun!! (I'm a dork, it was my first time). Construe that as you may.
Off to the beach.
Shira, you are way cooler than I am!
PENNNYYY!!!!
I'm, like, totally cool.
Hey Penny!! Miss you!
But we're all in total agreement that I am the coolest.

Shira, are you in Laguna?
C12 exhibited the worst behavior tonight!
What behavior? And Shira, beach at 10:20pm? Where's the keg and 420?
