C10 just called me and I am glad we have that other cell phone!
When is the next brd trip to NYC?
I agree with Liotte, brd. After I saw it, I told Caldwell B. Cladwell that I thought our kids would love it.

No plans, that is my lament!
Well, you ain't no diva, so I will just have to make it "The Barrister's Lament" from now on.

I think I'd like this kid!
Liotte, I hope they didn't cut any of the 80's references or the fake celebs-I'm one of the people who loved all that.

She is a good kid, but a pain in the AS.....
Undi, it's working!
Jane, there are still tons of 80s refs and fake people!
Just took a break to read the reviews for The Threepenny Opera. They are NEGATIVE. For once, the critics and I agree.
That is a show I will not see. Enough friends have told me that I would hate it.
The Wedding Singer was one of the shows I saw in NY because of Jane's and Penny's recommendation. It definitely was a fun night at the theater. Just watched the movie The Wedding Singer this past weekend. It helped bring back some memories of the show. Wish I could see shows multiple times like Liotte.
It's odd because I like offbeat interpretations, as a rule, but this show proved the exception!
What I said a few weeks ago is in sync with the reviews: some great talents among the cast, interesting sets, fun and funky costumes, the music faithfully delivered...it's just the SHOW itself that sucks. (The critics are more eloquent about it.)
bwayaddict, you are welcome to come back to NYC and see shows with me as often as you want!
Miss P, I definitely will just take your word for that show!
The lawyer in me . . .
Miss P is talking about Three Penney Opera, and appears to have enjoyed the Wedding Signer.
I think . . .
Believe me I would if I could but I'll just live through you until then. See them as many times as you want!
I will! (see that DAME? I was given permission to see shows as much as I want!)
The Wedding Singer is fun and frivolous. It doesn't pretend to be intellectual or deep, and it isn't. But that's okay...as are things that are "intellectual" and "deep."
But 3Penny is just a mess. I wanted to LOVE this show, believe me. I was looking forward to it more than any other production. And I adore the cast. It was a huge disappointment.
Here's a compliment: I don't think I have ever seen another production with so many appealing elements so colossally botched!
I don't know if that's a compliment...
Totally a change of pace . . .
An info-mercial for "toss-n-go detergent balls" just came up on the TV, and for some reason I thought of DD dryer balls.
I vaguely remember that conversation...
Glad I didn't pick that one to see. I had thought about it because of the cast. One that I did love was Rabbit Hole - such a great cast and story and it's already gone.
There are so many shows that have come and gone that I wish I had seen.
