I am a WORKING actor in LA, does that count? I am in SAG and AFTRA but not Equity (yet :))

I do/did regional theatre and a tour. I moved to NY to try my hand at broadway, but i didnt get many auditions, went broke, and moved to TX. Im starting to think maybe Im not cut out for this and am looking into being a casting director. Currently, though, I am an unemployed loser

The funny thing is, I actually AM a "producer at a distinguished regional theatre". I'm actually the Associate Director, but I can sign the contracts AND the checks - so I guess that makes me a producer!
