How happy was I that vile Robyn (I assume that's how she spelling it, since she's so vile) finally got the boot? She actually tried to clean up her station while another chef was doing their quickfire. Did she ever cook a good dish? She's from Seattle, I hear. Must explain whey she's so passive aggressive. Good riddance!

They were only keeping her around because she's the closest thing the show had to a drama-maker. (Although Michael V. is quickly turning into a MAJOR douchebag).

I feel like for weeks, we've just been cutting off fat in anticipation of the LEGITIMATELY COMPETITIVE, inevitable Michael/Bryan/Kevin finale.

And this sounds cruel but could she mention her cancer any more? It's like she had no identity before it and ws happy to get it so she had something to get people's attention (you know, besides her poisoned food).

Robyn didn't annoy me as much as Mike (not Voltaggio, the other guy) did. I was glad to see him go. I thought Jen was going to be stronger, but as Tom said "she may have hit the wall"---and I really like her. I wanted to see her, Kevin and Bryan in the final three.

Yeah, Jen started off as the best contestant Top Chef ever had. Now she's gotten self conscious and second guesses everything.

I'm wanting to know who, of the brothers, is the better chef? My vote edges toward Bryan (though Michael is no slouch!) Michael is turning into quite the despot in the kitchen! And I think Eli is going to end up going home next week, for some reason. Unless Michael has a breakdown!

My post disappeared.

It was basically - Bryan got robbed, Michael is a little to obnoxious for my tastes, and Kris Kringle had a bad day.

UGH UGH UGH. How did Bryan not win? He had the favorite 2 out of the 4 dishes, plain and simple.

"How did Bryan not win? He had the favorite 2 out of the 4 dishes, plain and simple."

Not according to Tom Colicchio over at his blog on Bravotv.com. He actually talks about how the episode was edited to make it seem much more competitive than it really was.

True...Douchetaggio makes me want to rip my hair out. But I think it was clear that each of the chef's (and Jen as well) were pretty evenly matched. It's not like the dreaful Hosea win from last year.

The entire season was edited to make it look like a case of sibling rivalry between the two brothers with younger brother Michael being the underdog and always in his older brother's shadow. From that perspective, his win is actually not all that surprising in retrospect. It makes for "good" T.V.

Cheyenne Jackson tickled me. AFTER ordering SoMMS a drink but NOT tickling him, and hanging out with Girly in his dressing room (where he DIDN'T tickle her) but BEFORE we got married. To others. And then he tweeted Boobs. He also tweeted he's good friends with some chick on "The Voice" who just happens to be good friends with Tink's ex. And I'm still married. Oh, and this just in: "Pettiness, spite, malice ....Such ugly emotions... So sad." - After Eight, talking about MEEEEEEEE!!! I'm so honored! :-)

I never thyought of Mike as an underdog---rival yes, underdog, no. I jsut liked Bryan better. I was disappointed that Bryan lost. I liked Kevin, also.

I honestly thought the entire season made it look like Kevin was poised to win, but he sort of stumbled at the end. Michael was my personal favorite, so I'm glad he won, but they did edit it to seem rather surprising.

"How did Bryan not win? He had the favorite 2 out of the 4 dishes, plain and simple."

From what I remember, Michael had the best "box ingredients" dish, and they fawned over his entree and dessert, despite flaws. It was obvious to me that he was going to win.

Ilan...Hosea...Michael....Bleccch.

I've watched more Top Chef than I care to admit. But I have to say I hate the premise of the show.

Tom Colicchio goes on and on in his blog that Top Chef is a cooking show and the judging is all about the food... well then why show so much drama and editing as to create heroes and villains? It's about personality as much as anything else, yet the audience is admonished when it is upset when a favorite is cut.

The heavy handing editing is annoying, especially at judge's table when it seems like a chef clearly succeeded only to have Coliccho say later the dish was in fact awful, but those comments were edited out.

I was pulled in this season from the get go by Kevin Gillespie. I am praying there is no such Kevin next season so I can skip the whole darn thing.
