Yes, my dear friend I WAS at the Opening Night performance of TWHM. I've told this story before, but here it goes again:
Before the show opened, Louis Armstron's recording of the title tune was already a big seller. EVERYONE wanted to see the show.
My father was an auto mechanic, but one of his customers worked on the TV show "That Was The Week That Was" and was able to wrangle Opening Night tickets. My mother and I went and sat between Arlene Francis and Peggy Cass. It was the night that changed my life.
