I don't believe in religion because it is simply a social control. I've done a lot of searching and found that the love of God has a big price tag according to the churches I visited. I was once on the board of a small church and witnessed the inner workings and it was all about getting lots of money from the congregation. I left the church after hearing one of the board members propose a three day seminar in Carmel paid for by the church.

Having said that, I still have a strong belief in God or the Creator. There are just too many wonders in this world that must have had an intelligient design.

god created little eyeball boring worms to thin the heard. by giving heathens one more reason not to beieve in him, he makes more room in heaven for the true believers. this allows faithful people like me to upgrade from a two-bedroom condo with a partial view of st. peter's chicken coop to a four bedroom victorian with a wraparound porch and an unobstructed view of saturn. thanks god for eyeball boring worms.

I think it's interesting that athiests get so defensive about something that doesn't exist to them. Q you said that my idea of intelligient design is ill informed. Which of the worlds great minds do I go to for the proof that there is no God?
