I think it's interesting that athiests get so defensive about something that doesn't exist to them. Q you said that my idea of intelligient design is ill informed. Which of the worlds great minds do I go to for the proof that there is no God?

Unless defensive means something different to Jesus peple, I think you're pointing the finger in the wrong direction.

Who is offended by it? I think most non-believers simply take umbrage when they are expect to conform their lives to a god they don't worship. People are free to believe whatever they want; the issues begin when your (or anyone's) god is used as a shield for spreading hate, restricting rights, etc.

A better question is why do Jesus people get so bent out of shape by others who don't live their lives according the rules of the good book? Does every soul you save get you into heaven faster?

And for people who don't believe in religion but believe in god, is it the judeo-christian god you believe in? If not, what god do you believe in and where are you getting the information about said god?

My belief in God was never taught to me, I had spiritual experiences as a baby, before the age of two. I can only say that God cannot be described in any other way except pure and overwhelming LOVE.

If religions portray God as anything other than that it's because the human ego is involved.

Oh, I used to have Oprah on my 5, but I dropped that bitch after the Legends luncheon. I was seated next to Lisa Marie Presley. GOD! I told Oprah all about that "party" Lisa Marie invited me to. Turned out to be a tantric sex workshop and she needed a male partner. Well, I was furious! I mean, one look down there and you could tell there had been permanent damage. I tried to be nice about it, but when I get nervous, I crack jokes. Honestly, I was just trying to break the tension. I said things like, "I was going to ask if the carpet matches the drapes, but I see you went with linoleum", or "Honestly, how do you break a vagina?" or "Well, now we know why Michael turned to little boys". You know, silly stuff like that. Well, when I fanned my nose and asked if someone had some oil to go with that vinegar, so I could at least pretend I was having a salad, Lisa Marie went postal. I barely escaped with my life, but I did manage to grab a Lalique vase on my way out. Yeah, just try and get that back, Miss Smellytwat! Anyway, there was no way I was getting near Lisa Marie, and legally, I wasn't allowed to sit that close to her, anyway. Oprah said she had no idea what I was talking about, but she knew. SHE KNEW!! I told Oprah the whole story over a box of Munchkins while riding the ferris wheel at Navy Pier just a couple of weeks before. I remember because I only got like, TWO MUNCHKINS. And I freakin' paid for them.

Selfish bitch.

So that's when I added Jesus. But he never calls me back.
