Why does Kristin Chenoweth make such godawful movies??

I know, we haven't seen her new movie yet, but let's face it, it's horrible: Danny Devito naked, lots of people falling down and a heart warming message at the end that Christmas isn't about decororations...I wanna throw up every time the commercial comes on.

She seems like an intelligent gal, why does she keep making such crappy films???

Yeah...RV, Bewitched, etc...I love her, but she needs a better agent.

I like her movies.

Pink Panther
RV (it was ok...but she was great!)
Running With Scissors (I liked the book more though.)
Bewitched
Annie (the remake)
and I can't wait for Deck the Halls!

She's a talented actress and I just love her!

Yeah...RV, Bewitched, etc...I love her, but she needs a better agent.

I love her. But she ain't exactly Meryl Streep.

She just can't go picking and choosing which projects she wants to do. People aren't knocking down her door with offers.

She's trying to develop a name for herself so she takes the work she can get.

Good for her.

I just saw the trailer for this. (I took my niece to see FLUSHED AWAY.) DECK THE HALLS, it's called. It reminded me of that God-awful Tim Allen/Jamie Lee Curtis disaster from a few years back -- CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS.

Annie is the only one I could sit through and that was made for TV.

It reminded me of CHRISTMAS WITH THE KRANKS too but I think it was just because it was a family/christmas/comedy movie. But I can't wait because

1, It looks good
and 2. Matthew Broderick looks like he acts normal in this!!!

The Producers (I just love it even though they should have gotten Martin Short for Leo.)

and of course Ferris Bueller's Day Off

But if you saw him in The Producers and The Odd Couple on broadway...he hasn't been acting like himself lately. But he looks normal in this :)

The camera is less than kind to Kristen and when she's on the BIG screen she always comes across like the camp counselor Christine Baranski played in "Addams Family Values."

She has a nice little cameo w Emma Thomson as a TV interviewer in the film she is in relase now.(Thompson, Latiffah, Hoffman,) golly cant remember the name of the movies ARGH!

Bottom line--she has the respect of the Broadway community regardless of whatever other TV/movie sh*t she does on the side. The girl's gotta eat, and you know Hollywood: the sh*ttier the movie, the more successful it's going to be. She's very funny and her comedic timing is what stands out for her in Hollywood, and in order for a comedy to be a success today, it needs to be dumb dumb dumb. That's what the folk pay to see. I can't see Hollywood directors going out on a limb to give her too many roles in dramas. She just doesn't fit the bill, with the little girl cutesy voice and petite build.

But none of these movies have been big hits> I guess there might have ebeen some hope that Bewitched was going to make some cash, but it's just sad to see her in such garbage. She could make a great living on Broadway, or doing concerts and TV appearances, but she has to make these goofy films...I would love to see ehr in something decent.

I had no Idea she's in Stranger than Fiction-- that looks great, but it hasn't made it out to my neck of the woods....
