Why not a Jimmy Webb musical?

His songs are inherently dramatic and would lend themselves to a musical, either original or a jukebox thing.

I just Googled him and I recognized 'The Moon's A Harsh Mistress', I've always loved Linda Ronstadt and Judy Collins' renderings of that song.

I know he has attempted to write a few. He hasn't had much success yet, but maybe one day, he'll churn out one.

Downloaded his "Ten Easy Pieces" album from I-Tunes recently. He does a nice job singing his own tunes, including a beautiful version of "The Moon's a Harsh Mistress."

He wrote "The Animals Christmas" , which is a very dramatic Christmas cantata. The recording with Amy Grant and Art Garfunkel is one of my favorite Christmas recordings. If you haven't heard it, you should definately check it out!

Yes, the same could be said of Reggie Dwight too. There won't be many who will think him worthy of discussion after the Lestat fiasco.
