I think its still good. I love this show. It's got its wit back (it was obviously absent last season) and it's still pretty good. I just dont get how it was, what?, #15 in the Neilson Ratings last season with a terrible season and this year, its picked itself back up and no one is watching. Its on tonight with Sharon Stone after a month-long hiatus. Watch!
Also: WHEN THE FRIG IS SEASON 4 COMING OUT ON DVD!?!?! ugh!!

i love the show, although i think it should be called "jack and karen"
It's still okay, but I don't think it has the charm or zing of the earlier seasons. I'm glad it's getting better now - the first few episodes this year were really weak (Janet, J.Lo et al.) but now they seem to be getting back to normal.
What was with the month-long hiatus anyway? It just occurred to me that I don't remember where we left off, what with the new episodes and the 20 syndicated ones I watch on a daily basis! Bobby C. and Will broke up...Grace was with Edward Burns...Karen was...with Jeff Goldblum? And Jack was...was...
*brain fizz*
Well, sadly Ive been on and off with it because of my school play but now that it's over, I've been watching it but theyre reruns...and in USA Today, I believe, it said something about a haitus.
But that's the great thing about sitcoms, really: the continuity is really secondary to the general laughs.
They need to bring Bobby C. back, though! Hott with an extra T!

and so hot a double post!
Well, it's not like it is painful on the eyes to see Billy twice...
The show's lost *it* with me. C'mon a MONTH hiatus!!? What's up with that. I get sick of watching re-runs during regular season programming. I remember when the re-runs were relegated to the summer months. Nowadays there's so many program interruptions (specials, etc.) that it's hard to keep track when new episodes are airing. With my schedule I don't have the time.
And just what's the hold up with releasing Season 4 on DVD!? It's been MONTHS and the UK is already up to Season 6 on DVD...NOT FAIR!!!

IT's most likely an issue of syndication rights. Since syndication is far less lucrative overseas than it is here, Europe and the rest of the world is often far ahead of us in terms of DVD issues while we wait. I own the entire run of Buffy but I bought the 1st season on DVD from the UK because it was taking forever to be issued here.
I thought the UK has a different DVD region than North America. Did it work for you, bwaysinger? If it did, I'm tempted to pick up W&G when I'm there!
Ahh, Tiff, no, you're right. Different region. I happen to have a regionless DVD player, though.
I also had the first 5 seasons of Friends about a year before they even had year one out here, thanks to this little country called Japan.
NOthing is as fun as watching Friends dubbed in Japanese with English subtitles on...
I'm still feeling kind of guilty, but I haven't been watching as regularly this season since The OC started. The show has taken a downturn, especially in the last few seasons and I still feel bad because it does make me laugh- just not as much as it used to. I mean, I've been watching the show since I was 14 years old, I almost feel like I'm cheating or something.
The reason I chose The OC over this? Will and Grace have become psychotically co-dependent, and Jack and Karen have basically become caricatures of their former selves. Sean Hayes seems to be phoning in his performance and even Megan Mullally has said that during the taping of one episode, she said "God, is this scene almost over?" in every take, and no one ever noticed until it went to air.
Also, bringing in a boyfriend for Will was too little, too late. The show had been on for 6 years before Will was shown kissing a guy he was in a relationship with- and even that wasn't scripted, the actors did that on their own. For Christ sakes, considering the show has 2 gay men as main characters, it's sad that Grace and Karen have been shown kissing each other about 10 times as often as any 2 guys on the show.
Sorry about the rant, I seriously love the show and still watch the syndicated shows every night, but I've been so disappointed in it recently that I wonder where everything went wrong.

Really?? Where did you read that? Do you know which episode it was? I'd get such a kick out of seeing that.
I know what you mean about taking FOREVER before Will got kissed. Even Eric McC has griped about it every season so far.
the past thanksgiving epsode tiff, and she was kidding she was trying to slipp it in
W&G was kinda blah when they got Grace married.
Then, this season, it got a little bit better in the beginning (probably due to the fact that the original creators left the show). But now...it's...I don't know. Like a review I read last year said, these characters have become pretty unlikable. Will is always obsessed about something and getting mad. Grace is just blah.
It just seems like the storylines are getting ridiculous...with no good character development.

I Love this show. Even if only for the laughs it provides, I always look foward to watching it.
"What you may be feeling are pangs of guilt."
"What?"
"You know...guilt. Oh god, where to begin. Okay, guilt is an emotion-whoa, whoa. Jumping too far ahead. An emotion is something that-"
"Hey hey hey! I know what guilt is! Guilt is one of those touchy-feely words people throw around like 'maternal' or 'addiction.'"
Grace, Karen.
Note: Paraphrased. and fixed
"Guilt is one of those touchy-feely words people throw around like 'maternal' or 'addiction.'"
See, I do love the show!
I was close. and I DID say it was paraphrased.
No, I know it was just paraphrased, I wasn't trying to be mean. I just happen to love that quote too, so I knew it off the top of my head.
I liked it tonight. I was belly laughing at Rosario's entrance...
(Jack walks into Karen's bathroom and Rosario suddenly pops up from inside the tub)
Jack: Sheesh, Rosie. You scared me. I thought you were one of those big alligators that come out of the sewers.
Hahaha
Rosie: Yeah well, I like it in here. Its more comfortable than my bed. (or something like that)
Hahaha!!!

I haven't been able to see any of the new episodes b/c I've been so busy with play practice but the reruns that I catch everday still have me rolling on the floor with laughter. Maybe I'll catch one of the newer episodes here soon so that I can give my own review of the show.
