I've just been - to put in in the words of Ulla from The Producers - tidying up my appartment . And then I listen to two hours of a musicals broadcast I recorded tonight while I slept
. And then I'll do something spontaneous. What about you?
Sleep well, fiction, though perhaps not again 12 hours

Ugh.. I laid down, but didn't sleep. Ivan has class all freakin' day tomorrow. It'll be the first Saturday since I moved in that we won't spend together
That also goes for Sunday, and the next two weekends.
So right now I'm jotting down stuff I have to add to the book tomorrow. I took today off, but I'm going to try and get atleast 10 pages written.
So. much. fun.

Hi everyone!
Avenue Q was the best show I've seen so far!!!
Its absolutelt marvellous, I liked the Cast much better than what I saw and heard of the Broadwaycast. Espacially Gary Coleman: after seeing him played by a man I wonder who ever had the stupid idea of letting him be played by a woman.
And guy: the merchandise is indeed very cool! Though the prices aren't that cool
In a few minutes I'll see Sundqy in the Park and tonight Ill have a ball and a blast watching the Producers with my 152 £ Ticket

Yes! I love Avenue Q! I totally agree with my brother, Garry was cool. And the Cast looked so much better than the Broadway Cast.
Und die ganze Reihe hat uns beim Song Schadenfreude angeguckt, wie wir reagieren, weil sie wussten, dass wir Deutsche sind :)
152 POUNDS??? Do you own a cash cow?
Glad you're having so much fun in London!
@M, I'm glad you enjoyed Avenue Q, but nothing beats the Broadway cast!
@Franklink, writing is turture, but I love every minute of it.

M.Berger, I'm reaaaaallly curious where you sit at Producers. Must be a special seat where the usherettes bring you free drinks and snacks and where after the show they actors come around to your seat in order to give you their autogramm
Fiction, I hope, you've been busy then?

Hi there!
I'm not paying it myself... my father did a mistake whilst ordering the tickets in the internet.
Ficition, youre right, I just saw a b*****g of the OBC, but I really have to say that Garry is much better as a man. I allways had the feeling that the woman who played his part wasnt that good at singing.
Yes I'm just in between Sunday and Producers which you could call a contrast
Sunday was very good, especially the actors, but I think it has too much ballads and that made it a sometimes a bit of "Edelkitsch" (no idea whats that in english )...
They worked very clever with animations and projections and the show itself is no doubt very good.
One more thing I realised: JRB must have heard a lot of Sondheim...

Hmpf my card costs only 60£
Fiction I think the London Cast is better, but it migh just the fact, that we saw the London Cast in real and the broadwaycast just in the tv.
edit: Martin war mal wieder schneller...

Franklin, I just spent the last ten minutes writing a message to BBoobs. Now I'm gonna go get breakfast. WOO!
M, I didn't see the broadway cast until TONY night, but I saw the show in Las Vegas (Rick Lyons and John T reprised their roles). I think it's hilarious that Gary's played by a woman! I've always wondered how he felt about it though.
I do think that the woman I saw that played Gary had better timing than the Broadway woman. The only example I can think of now is in "You Can Be As Loud As You Want..." The line goes something like "No, it's fine kids, you keep doin', what you doin'!" I thought it was a lot more fun hearing it on stage than on the CD.
I didn't think this show could translate well to another culture. And I guess it doesn't.

What do you mean, fiction? The english culture or any culture?

In an other country Garry have to be an other ex-star. But in general the show is made to be translate to other cultures. Everybody knows the tv-show it is based on.

Another culture? *lol* what are you talking about?
MBerger, never mind with the PMs, I only wrote that nothing's going on here in merry old Germany. And I asked whether you get nervous before your "date" tomorrow *lol*

Btw. Can some on say me (for example yessica, when she is reading this) why so many people in london are wearing german army jackets?

Any culture.
I don't know if I'd like it if they cast Gary as a man.

No, im only nervous if it is going to happen at all, for I have to make out a new time with yessica...
Whatever, Sunday in the Park inspired me very much for our next project "Fruehlingserwachen", which I now wished to make half nowadays, half back then, but mixed. A bit like Mostellaria, but Much, much, much better ;-D Gotta talk about it, when Im back!

Oh by the way, M.Berger, there is a offbroadway musical currently running based upon that wedekind play . And it's been announced, if I remember it correctly, to transfer to Broadway in this season...
We're not alone anymore. On the other hand, it's said to be a rather square pop musical, so our art musical version would very well stand against that

I was allready thinking about it in Germany - I dont know if you know fiction, but im also translating.
I think you would have to take some one else - in germany for example a guy called Heintje who was a from the netherlands and a very big star as a child, singing terrible cheesy songs. When his voice dropped down low his career was over. I guess it would work (black jokes transferred to Netherland jokes and so on), because Avenu Q is about problems everyone in the world has!
I'd like to hear some of the music of the new "Spring Awakening" production that's coming to Bway!
I love the play and it seems to be a wonderful musical, too!
