Posted: 2/18/06 at 2:10amI saw the trailer for it a couple of weeks ago when I went to the movies and thought it looked intersting, but I had no idea that it was written and directed by Adam Rapp. I haven't been up to date on his theatre works, necessarily, but I've been aware of him as an up and coming playwright. Needless to say, I was rather surprised to see him listed as the writer of the screenplay, and the director of Winter Passing!
But when did New Hampshire become--Such a backward wasteland of seatbelt hating crazies?...I mean, only 40 people actually live there. The others are just visitors who come for the tax-free liquor and three inches of novelty coastline. John Hodgeman on The Daily Show (1-30-07)

Posted: 2/18/06 at 11:17amThe trailer made it look interesting, but it doesn't seem to be getting the best reviews. I'm kind of up in the air about seeing it. I like Zooey Deschanel (and the rest of the cast for that matter), but it seems like it could be kind of hit or miss. I'll wait to see what some other people think of it before I decide whether or not I'll just wait and rent it.

Has anyone seen it yet? I was just reading Ebert's reviews of movies that opened this week and he gave it three-and-a-half stars (not that he's the most reliable critic, but still). The cast sounds intriguing, and I love Zooey Deschanel, so it'd be nice to see her in something better than Failure to Launch. I'd also like to see something written/directed by Adam Rapp.

i can't find it playing anywhere near me... that makes me sad.
adam's working on a second movie right now... he's turning "blackbird" into a movie... anthony's in it and so is law and order's annie parisse.
