Hoping that there might be some people knowledgable in the ways and workings of wireless networking here.
Here is my situation/question. I currently have broadband/wireless through Time Warner and am using the wireless modem/router that they supplied. However it is the older generation (802.11g) and thus has some issues streaming video, especially with my blu ray player and the new Apple TV that I just bought. If I bought a newer 802.11n or n+ router, could I just daisy chain it off of my existing router to basically create a second wireless network and avoid using the wireless portion of the original router supplied by Time Warner? Or do I need to get a regular cable modem that does not have wireless built into it?
I hope that what I'm asking is clear, and any advice/info is very much appreciated.
Yes--wire the later-generation wireless router to the TWC router using a cat.6 patch cable--the short, yellow network cable.

Thanks
I was hoping it would be something as easy as that. I've set up a wireless router for my parents before, so glad to know that it will be pretty much the same method.
