Words that bug, specifically the use of them.

Chops

As in "He has the acting chops to pull off the role."

"travel" when used as a transigent verb as in "Equity agreed to travel my trunk while on tour. Travel takes no object! "I traveled to Spain" is correct. "I traveled my sister to Spain" is incorrect.

"impact" when used as a verb. It's a noun. Something has a great impact -- but it's incorrect to say "something impacted me greatly."

And for the last time, the word is spelled DEFINITELY, not DEFINATELY. Got it???????

I'm with you on those Zola. I HATE it when people spell definitely wrong. Or when people use except when it should be accept. But those aren't words that bother me.

I hate the word crop. I mean just say it...ccrroppp. Its weird.

What is Broadway? A street? Some say it's a street. Some say it is the best street in the world. Others think its terrible. That's the beauty of it, it's terribly beautiful. Some hate it and don't know why. Others love it and don't know why. That's what makes it so wonderful, it's a mystery.

i hate the word tickle. don't ask. my baby brother goes around to everyone and tries to 'tickle' them. he really end up scratching and poking you though. he screams 'tickle, tickle, tickle' 24-7.

Golf. It's "I played golf this afternoon", not "I golfed this afternoon". It's like the word football. You don't say "I footballed this afternoon." Do you? NO...

sorry...just a rant.

and I don't like to word cock. it's dirty.

Words can't bring me down
I am beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can't bring me down
So don't you bring me down today

COMEDIC. Whatever happened to the word "comic" or its other form, "comical"? Now EVERYTHING is "comedic".

don't get me started on "amazing" and "awesome"

I recently noticed the use of the word "grow" as in "We have to grow the economy" or "I want to grow my business".

I'm sorry, but all I grow is my hair, flowers and vegetables. It should be "We have to encourage the economy to grow" or "I'll do what I can to help my business grow".
