And the award for Worst Community Theatre Production goes to...
"Curses, Foiled Again!" An old-fashioned melodrama set to "the hits of 1983!" A couple of the leads weren't too bad, but the show sucked. Big-time. Apparently, the director hated the original music for the show, so he had the big idea to turn it into a jukebox musical featuring the music of Queen, Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Boy George, and numerous others... it was a train wreck, plain and simple. The band was louder than the singers at times, the dancers just couldn't dance, and actors were forgetting lines and ad-libbing left and right.
And I had to see it twice, plus be at rehearsals all through tech week, because of some commitments I have no recollection of making.
Meet Me in St. Louis sucks. But even worse...Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Thank musical made me want to die, actually. Just a little bit.

Has to be the 1982 production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers with Debby Boone. When the show opened on Broadway, the next morning in the Post Clive Barnes had one paragraph one the front of the entertainment section that said something like, "this show is so bad I'm not going to waste anyone's time writing a review."
Did you ever see something and say, "I just have to have it"?
Sometimes a dream appears unattainable...but for anyone who's on the downside of advantage, and relying purely on courage, it's possible.
"The stage is where I live and come alive and act out all the things that go on in my life. It's not just what I do for a living, it's my shrink and my love affair. No one in my life has ever or ever will kiss me on the mouth like this lover called my relationship with my performance."
