See, here's how the line should look. Almost invisible. And ironically, I found this photo on a blog complaining that this lace-front wig was too obvious.

I looks like it needs a really good cleaning.
It seems to fit, it just looks dirty.

Diva: It fits ok, but I think the color of the lace is too dark. I mean, it can't be THAT dirty already, can it? It's opening night!
PJ: I didn't mean to be mean... I think she's a lovely actress, and I mean no disrespect to anyone. I was honestly just shocked when I saw the pics.

On my computer, the lace may be a BIT darker, but what I see is that LINE of make-up across her forehead, first.
You can change the color of lace with just a little powder.
It looks REALLY dirty.

Diva: I've worn lace front wigs (see above), and have never had that happen. I mean, how could it get that filthy? To me, it looks like the edge is rolling up, and that's what's making the harsh line. And there's sooooooo much lace...it comes so far down her forehead, you know? Anyway, hopefully you're right, and they'll clean it, and it'll look fantastic!

Her wigs were most likely made for the production (they usually are for Broadway and first run productions). They start with more lace in the front so that it can be trimmed to be maintained longer, as lace-front, human hair wigs are expensive to make.
I'm just shocked that ANYONE let it go out looking that bad.

Yes, mine was made specifically for me, as well. Made to a mold of my head, in fact. They left a solid inch of lace for trimming. (Can't see it, though, can you?) 
Her wig lace looks like two inches.
Anyway, hopefully it'll look better later.

99.99% of the time, they do make a replica of your head to build it on.

I think the wig is now named Iggy and looking for a new home.
